it takes 3-4 years to make high quality rpg. that is what their studio is dealing. plus they have to make the game for xsx xss and pc. that takes time. so 23 studio isnt enough.

Most games take a few years to make, that’s why they have the problem they do with a lack of games right now.
They didn’t invest enough in game development when they transitioned to the Xbox one from the 360 era so that resulted in a lack of games problem which they are trying to fix now.

They don't need more studios right now they need to learn how to manage the ones they have first. Spencer and his gang didn't do a good job managing studios before the ones they added in 2019 let alone the addition of the Bethesda group. At some point this acquisitions need to stop and money needs to start coming in. They over paid for Bethesda, and now with all of the employees they have the xbox division is going to be very expensive to run, adding another big studio or worse publisher is only going to consolidate the industry more behind one company who is trying to push everyone into a subscription service. Anyone who wants more MS acquisitions likely is only thinking in fanboy console warrior terms and not about what's best for the industry overall.

WB games would be a great purchase as it would instantly put a ton of games available on gamepass.
Ubisoft would be too big of a purchase cost but there were rumours popping up a few months ago that their games would be appearing on gamepass like EA games do ala EA Play. Hope this rumour is true.

Which studios didn’t they manage well ? The coalition made two state of the art gears games. Rare made their most successful game ever, that has been selling like hot cakes on steam despite being on game pass. 343i made a 60 FPS Halo sequel game before PlayStation fanboys discovered that they love 60 FPS.
Looking at the prices of other studios bought by big 3rd party publishers , MS actually underpaid for Zenimax. Anyway I hope that MS will buy another big publisher (I know they won’t announce something like that in this E3). Sony seems to actively try to lock just about every 3rd party game away from Xbox so MS will obviously have to fight back and with xcloud bound to become huge (way bigger than the consoles’ userbases) it is only natural to try to have as much content available as possible,

What are you talking about ? MS has added stuff like Dirt 5, MLB, Outriders just in the last few months. Games like DMC5 and Metro exodus came to game pass extremely fast after their release. It isn’t MS’ fault that Sony had locked Deathloop and ghostwrite or else these would be on game pass day one. Things like Halo infinite, Psychonauts 2, Flight simulator, The Ascent, Forza Horizon 5 and possibly quite a few more are on their way day one on gamepass.

When you are dealing with a service like gamepass, you need 2 games at a month. You are dealing with people who have different taste.
Playstation devs only worried about the ps5 and maybe ps4 version. So they put out games fast. While on xbox side, they take time. Unlike the other guys, their games are mostly taxed and long. God of war is short and on point. Forza horizon 4 isn't.
Its why you can play xbox games longer, while Playstation games shorter. One is small and on point, while the other is complex and have different branches(Skyrim, fable, new halo).
With their 23 dev output, they will need to have 4 projects per studio to do it. Or else get new studios, or build new ones from ground up for other ips (rare ip, betheseda ip).

It’s not SEGA. The last Virtua Fighter is exclusive on PS4 and free on PSN. In fact, Sony is more likely to get SEGA.

My guess is Dlala (Battletoads 2020). I think MS would be wise to invest in them or similar indie studios to flesh out exclusive, frequent Game Pass offerings.

It’s always the same clowns crying and trying to stir up drama - one thread on the front page regarding a Microsoft acquisition is the end of the world for you, but the 3 separate threads on Horizon, 2 separate threads on Ratchet and 2 separate threads on Returnal on the front page is all grand.
Clown world is right to be honest. You don’t like the occasional Xbox thread that’s allowed in here, don’t click it and stick to the multitude of PS threads. Not rocket science is it?
