As long as performance isn't an issue, then I'm still very interested. None of the complaints I've read or watched are anything I personally care about.
Some people like pineapple on their pizza and others don't. Still looking forward to this.

A 70 is firmly in the "This should appeal to fans of the genre." Not every game needs to have a "Universally appealing" score of 90+. It is opinions like this that give us:
"Biomutant is a boring, repetitive and simply anachronistic video game with a lot of problems in the quests and world design departments"
coupled with a score of 6/10.

And don't get me wrong, I have no interess of playing this game because he don't get my attention, but the level of hate this game is getting is embarrassing. He don't need to be a GOTY contender to be played. People need to get out of their bubble and forget Metacritic a little.
BTW, the OP behavior is beyond embarrassing.

I love pineapple on my pizza! And Biomutant now sits on my Steam library
Looked too interesting from a design and idea standpoint to skip. I guess the wise choice would’ve been to wait on a sale or Gamepass release, but nah. I had only bought Assassin’s Creed Unity so far this year, dirt cheap, so I thought I could manage a full price purchase for once.

People just want to have fun. Thats all. You don't need to make a research about 'why' people get hyped about mix bag games. This happens all the time and you miss a loads of great games just by using Metacritic.
Mario Paper for NS don't get the 'best scores' ,but is a hell of game. I can't see people ignoring a game just because the score is medium. Read a proper review and if they have courage to point if the game have bugs, perfomance issues, story inconsistence. This is the most important.

Was hoping this game would score in the mid 70's or low 80's, similar to Immortals Fenyx Rising. That game was a great surprise, hoped Biomutant would be more of that.

I did but mostly for the animal character and weapon creativity, besides that they have nothing in common, it’s a mix of ingredients from all kinds of games really. I just hope they don’t drop it but tries to improve the things people don’t like. There is so much good stuff in there and I haven’t heard of any complaints that seemed unfixable.

Destructoid has a nice and balanced review where the reviewer don’t just focus on the shortcomings but tries to see the positives as well and in the end came away entertained.

Fenyx rising is actually a great game.
The biggest negative you gave for Biomutant was unresponsive controls - which for an action game waiting for inputs is a no go if it is the case and destroys any fun.
