Such a gorgeous game and it runs butter smooth even on my ageing pc. (8700k, 32ram, 1080ti)

No annoying stuttering or other technical issues. The only thing i had to do was enable the sharpening filter in geforce experience to combat the TAA blur.

Had a blast so far, such a fun game! Running Survival II but hope i won´t regret it later

Yo how many of yall out here with this incorrect info, the game has no PS5 version period. It just runs the PS4 version with PS4 Pro resolution on PS5 with an uncapped frame rate (given via frame rate unlock patch) on the Ps5

Dude seriously do you even own a PS5? Do you realize Ghost of Tsushima, God of War and Days Gone received patches to play the PS4 (Pro) versions on the PS5 with an uncapped frame rate, thus all three games hit 60fps PS5 instead of playing at locked 30fps.

You can't play 60fps apparently on ps4/pro, so this technically is the ps5 version of the game. Maybe Sony will update the game, again, for both ps5 and PC at a later date, who knows. But wouldn't this be the ps5 version of the game, *for now supposedly*?

PS5 version means taking advantage of the i/O and the latest CPU/GPU and it's efficiencies (let alone the DualSense implementation). Nioh/Nioh 2 runs PS4 version on PS5 with locked frame rate at higher resolution, the same two games have PS5 specific versions offering more options higher res textures, higher frame rates and 1 second loading. None of Sony's First-party games have received a PS5 version to this day.

Can you play the 60fps "ps5" version, on the ps4/pro? If not, wouldn't this version be exclusive to the ps5, ultimately making this the current ps5 version? Maybe it'll get an update, maybe PC will get that supposed update too, but no word on it. I hate to bring semantics into this, but I was enjoying the game until you kept on trying to correct me.

Cooper camp is more 'bike' focused, the other camp you open next will be more gun focus.

They just didn't bother making a proper PS5 version that takes full advantage of the hardware, it's running in back-compat+ mode.

For e.g. load times on a proper PS5 version would be under 3-4 seconds, not 30+ seconds.

Just the animal ecosystem is more complex than anything inside days gone.

Also there is basically no npc to interact in days gone, i don't know how can you think that saint denis or any city in rdr2 is more empty than any location in days gone...

The quality of the animations, the humongous number of unique scripts (with mocap even for 30 sec events) is so far beyond anything inside days gone is not even funny.

Dg has a better weather system, but rdr2 has far more realistic mud and snow real time deformation that actually slow the movements of the characters and it's not only for show. (At least you feel a bit of difference while driving the motorcycle)


Also rdr2 is the game with more microdetails in existence, this is probably the biggest difference between the 2 games, rockstar has so much more money and manpower compared to bend, it's not even a fair comparison tbh.


I mean, rdr2 is widely recognized as the best technical achievement of last gen, days gone is good, but rdr2 was a juggernaut, shitty controls or not.

It was a game made for last gen and is playable on current gen.

There has been no re-release or something like that for PS5.
I didn't have to pay for it or anything.

If I boot up Battlefield 3 on a current pc I can't blame the developer or publisher when the game can't show current gen stuff can I?

PS5 players don't pay 50 bucks for it though.

I've played a few hours of it and the shooting feels pretty good for a console to PC port. Really dislike that you can't save during missions and the checkpoints are sometimes 20 minutes apart if you don't rush through the missions. PC games generally give you quick save/load options.

Arthur is super detailed, but yeah the other pg are fairly inferior, especially the faces.

Thankg god arthur is also a better character than all the character inside DS combined

That's because PS5 is running the PS4 version, PS4 Pro specifically. It has only 5.5GB dedicated for games so it shows.

There's no dedicated PS5 version akin to Spider-Man or like Miles Morales which takes advantage of the PS5 HW.

When Sony guys put their exclusives above and beyond third-party titles, this is what they mean by that.

IMO, Naughty Dog's games have the highest of the highest production values than any PS studio. Their attention to detail in every aspect of the visuals, gameplay animations, even sound (audio) really stands out from other games.

That isn't the point, is it? If you're talking about a tecnical tour de force, than RDR2 is it. The game has it all, you guys aren't discussing if it's a good game or not but the technical prowess of it, and imo RDR2 is the beast in the previous gen.

I play on 48" screen in my face so I would notice this more than anyone.
But still. It is a good, expected improvement. Graphics were just already pretty good.
