Why would the OS take up 6GB on the XSX? That's enormous. This has to be some kind of mistake.
The OS doesn’t take 6GB on Series X... it actually has minimum 2.5GB reserved (it probably uses less than that).

The optimal game RAM is 10GB on Series X because it runs at 560GB/s... devs can still use 3.5GB of slower RAM for others non-GPU related tasks I believe.

playstation just tweeted they are working on a AAA multiplayer game but now it’s been deleted.. working with two studios or something the tweet said

Edit- nvm it’s showing again now

Founded in 2018, Firewalk Studios is led by Tony Hsu (Studio Head, previously GM and SVP of Destiny at Activision), Ryan Ellis (Game Director, previously Creative Director at Bungie) and Elena Siegman (Executive Producer, previously at Harmonix, Irrational Games, and Bungie).

TBH, I can already see what the PS5 can really do thanks to Bad Robo's Dreams content on YT.
Got a link for this? I'm intrigued...

Can the Tempest Engine be fed directly from the SSD... Bypassing RAM use altogether.
How effective would this be say for ML, its speculation atm but, it has been suggested Insomniacgames recent ML ZivaRT was running off the TE.

I don't know if the Tempest Engine can get data DMA'd directly from the SSD, but I'm sure that in most cases it will take data from RAM because it's audio input data HAS to originate from the game simulation and thus the CPU.

A mere cursory consideration of the suggestion that the TE is both responsible for IG's implementation of ML or any ML at all, and you can quickly dismiss such claims out of hand as ridiculous nonsense.

The TE is a single RDNA CU customized. ML computation nominally runs on ultra-wide low precision vector arrays like Tensor Cores, and/or on the entire GPU graphics and compute array, i.e. ALL the GPU CUs. How could one single custom CU somehow become more proficient at ML computation than the entire GPU vector array?... It's pretty much common sense that the TE won't be anywhere close to be powerful enough.

It's like the early suggestions that the XSX was using its CPU for ML computation. It's a bit daft. Even with the CPU AVX256 vector extensions, you won't get anywhere close to comparable performance with ML inferencing than you would running in GPU compute on even a low-end GPU.

Guy brings PlayStation into hospital room while his partner is in labor

TikTok user @mayra.jazlyn went viral for her video that showed her partner playing Call of Duty: Warzone while she was waiting to give birth.
The clip, which has more than 4 million views, caused an epic debate in the comments section. While some thought the future father had found a creative way to pass the time in the hospital, others were not impressed.
“I’ll be mad if my bf DOESN’T do this,” wrote one supporter.

“WHAT A LEGENDARY MAN,” read another enthusiastic comment.

“I don’t understand why girls get mad if the dad is being entertained,” wondered one user. “You’re in labor, what is he supposed to do, sit there and stare at you?”

I can see myself doing this. 😉 As the company’s slogan says, “Play Has No limits”. 😂

Here's one such example, more on his channel.

Raven Software (who are currently handling Warzone and developed Cold War) have stepped up their game in recent days with new maps and new events, as well as massive improvements to BR by balancing a lot of broken weapons, something which we've been waiting for months. Of course a lot of these weapons were broken on purpose IMHO to sell blueprints on the COD store, only a fool wouldn't notice.

My hunch is they know that the new Battlefield game is coming and it's going to be a hell of a competitor for them, so they're ensuring the engagement with Warzone and Cold War is strong as well as the feelings towards their game.

So Sony is working on a triple A multiplayer exclusive, seems like this will be their answer to Halo.

If it's one thing Playstation has lacked in it's a solid multiplayer and those things are console sellers too. So many Xbox players I know purchased the Series X because they were heavily invested in Halo for years.

But if this Playstation multiplayer is anything like the multiplayer of Uncharted 4 then heck I'll be having a great time lol

Did the mods change their minds on ElAnalistadeBits?

I remember they shut down one of your threads because they didn't approve the source.

Just FYI.

No, I believe they are still banned. I still don't trust them on frame rate and resolution counting. Returnal apparently using Ray trace lighting at dynamic 4k 60fps.
