Man..will they ever put out a full trailer without frame drops? Looks amazing but I question putting some of those clips in there when 90% of the trailer is 60fps locked.

Came to post this, the first one must have been a leak or they jumped the gun, lol.
I feel some ppl are sleeping on this because its Housemarque. They said its their first shot at AAA, looking good so far.
I think this is gonna be a surprise hit.

Weirdly it reminds me of Bloodbourne crossed with a Bullet Hell shooter.
Gameplay and dodging are very similar but it has guns - looks interesting but I’m to much of a Boomer to enjoy this type of game now

I was coming to post something similar, that I was happy they cleared up all frame drops that I saw in previous trailers, but then during the boss battle bit it wasn't 60fps (I presume thats what you are talking about) sometime BUT it actually looked like 30 fps footage to me, it wasn't like it was variable so I think they put a bit of 30fps footage in the video by accident (/didnt notice?), its annoying but I have faith that its an aberration.
If you look at the shots that do look 60fps there are just as many alpha effects/particles in them so thats why I don't think it was actual dropped frames. I'll do some analysis on it (read: run through a tool that will tell me lol) so see whats actually happening at those points.
edit - Also one or two other intercut shots at the end looked 30fps so I think its just an oversight.

Yeah this needs to be elaborated on. Surely locking weapons only to a pre-order isn't the only way. If I was to guess, I'd say the other items are something you can earn on your run and use as a permanent boost for future runs.

They forget that I was playing games before they were born, and I never stopped playing, lol.
I remember the shock on their faces and in their voices when playing some Halo local MP mode, something with a Juggernaut. I kept screaming I'M THE JUGGERNAUT!!, lmao.

All the in game stuff you get with the deluxe you can unlock through play. When you look up the game page and it tells you what's included. I assume it's just stiff you get at the start or close to the start making it a bit easier at first.

As for the video. Love it. I just want a solid uninterrupted of the game with no cuts. I want to see how the world connects together and how things flow. They did a great job showing off the combat and it looks great. I'll probably end up getting it one we see some long vids

I was going to say the same thing. This looks like they crossed the dodging of Bloodbourne with the bullet hell of Nier. I feel like there is another game buried in there too but can't place my finger on it.
I basically ignored this game but I dunno, maybe I do want it? Lets see how long it takes to get through Nier...

Housemarque games usually require incredible reflexes to master them and to earn the platinum, I imagine it's not going to be different this time around. I'm not very good at them myself, but I still always enjoy playing them.

Easy to learn, hard to master is what comes to mind.
Edit: I mean hard to get Platinum, not overall hard to get through. But we will have to see when it comes out.

I’m a dinosaur too and I can still play shmups just fine but my issue (besides not owning a PS5 yet) is that the camera seems bad for the gameplay. Top-down view and this would be glorious! But then it would be like their previous games and I guess they want to move away from that.@sircaw my sentiments exactly. My twitch skills are no longer what they used to be. However, the game does look rather impressive.
