Seeing your own grave dug and ready in Silent Hill 2.

The ending in Shenmue.
I remember feeling that right there and then, even if the story would not continue, I was grateful for the experience I have had.

The opening in BioShock Infinite. Set the bar for the rest of the game.

That twist in BioShock.

Beating Sonic 2 for the first time.

The Last of Us.
Tons of moments, really (unlike the sequel).

Crashlanding on the ring in Halo for the first time. I was in awe.

Journey’s ending / Journey Multiplayer
Quite a few Final Fantasy endings
The first 20 mins of TLOU

And, of course, Silent Hill 1-3 :

And I feel Persona 5 Royal will be added to the list shortly...

Coming out of the cave in Oblivion and having this huge, beautiful open-world in front of me to explore. I had dreamed of a game like that for years and I was finally playing it.

Going back to it now feels so quaint, and yet there's still this magical, ethereal quality to the game. I love the lush, colorful fantasy setting of it. And the music is still fantastic.

I've had a few, but to me, the one I remember vividly in recent memory is the day I started up my PS4 (bought in the first month of launch) and saw the opening scenes of Shadowfall and just going "wow."

Mind you, at the time I didn't have a gaming pc for more than a decade, so gaming consoles was all I had.

So seeing HD graphics with the amount of detail at that point was new to me.

My jaw dropped, man.

It was then I got super excited to see what was possible and oh boy did the PS4 delivered 85% of the time during the previous generation.

I'm hoping I'll feel something similar once I get a PS5 and/or upgrade my gaming PC to a 3080 in the future.

Discovering Bid For Power and thinking it looked like the coolest shit.
Only to then be met with learning what mods are and going on a hunt for a copy of quake III and all that jazz.

Walking out of the crashed ship in Unreal 1 to a large at the time outdoor map with incredible music, detailed textures and the most beautiful moving sky box in games at that time. This game needs a high poly remaster. Unreal 2 doesn't exist just as Deus Ex Invisible War doesn't exist.

Hooking up my first year gpu (3dfx voodoo) and seeing how the world will forever change. Playing Shadow of the Empire at silky 60fps(or what felt like it) was mind blowing

Back in college in 1992, when networking was becoming more user friendly and accessible playing a network game called NL Snipes with every other student in the lab, I could see that multiplayer would change everything

Getting my N64 on launch day and playing Mario 64 for the first time.

Waking up Christmas morning to a NES plugged in and ready to play, a pinball machine, and remote control cars. This is my most memorable Christmas.

The Music in Halo 1.

The opening hours of Oblivion were an awesome time.

Taking my Wii to the office and playing some Wii sports with everyone I worked with.

My son scoring his first goal in Rocket league.

Hmmm.... I was just 7 y.o., but I remember it as clearly as it was yesterday. I and my brother tried to save some pocket money to buy our very first console - Nintendo 64. We were really hyped about it as we wanted to play Pokemon Stadium (basically to see our own Pokemons in 3D). One day, our parents told us that we had saved enough money, and they will drive to the one and only video games shop in my city and buy it for us. What a letdown it was when they came back with a PlayStation instead. Welp, it didn't stop us from having all the fun in the world. :)

Out of all 16 bit games I played, booting up and playing SFII on SNES was incredible. I couldn't believe how good and close it was to the arcade. Even one of my brothers who gamed but didn't care about fighting games at all (he was more of an old school PC gamer who like adventure and turn based games) even joined in and played.

The whole ending sequence was something special. I wish I could delete my memory of it and experience for the first time again.

1. gliding off the great plateau in BOTW. it felt overwhelming trying to decide where to go.

2. i almost rage quit Dark Souls 1 because i tried fighting the skeletons at Firelink Shrine thinking that was the way to go cause i totally missed the stairs going up to Undead Burg. I actually put in a refund request to Steam but it was pissing me off so i cancelled it. when i went back i saw the stairs and that was it. if it wasn't for that moment i would never have fallen in love with the dark souls games and i'd never have finish bloodborne or played sekiro.

3. in pokemon gold/silver discovering you can also travel to Kanto after defeating the league at Johto.

that isn't all them but just the first 3 that came to my mind.

Finding Bowser at the end of SMB 1-4, shouting “Bowser, King of the Koopa!!”, and jumping straight into him while figuratively shitting my pants, losing my last life.
Later on I beat that stage and was very confused at the Toad’s message.

My first time experiencing Phantom Dust on the OG Xbox. Me and the boys back then were really into super heroes, dragonball z, psychic powers and anime.

Phantom Dust just wrapped all those up in a neat little package that blew my fucking mind.

Posting this trailer for better quality video but I'll also post the original

I still get chills watching this.

That's a great one! It was my 1st WRPG. It made that genre and Bethesda my favorites by far and made me hate JRPGs after experiencing that game.
