I don’t even think I would want a Bloodborne sequel not made by From Software or Miyazaki... and I’m concerned Sony’s going to outsource it when it does happen. And that’s lame

Bloodborne should be enjoyed by as many people as possible. It's miyazakis best game and one of the greatest games of all time.

However i don't think a sequel will happen. I'm not even sure if bloodborne will ever get patched up for PS5 or released on PC. Sony doesn't give a fuck

If by going multiplat you mean PS5 and Switch...yeah, I probably wouldn't buy it. If you mean multiplat is PC and XSX, then sure, why not.

I care about good games that are available on my consoles of choice (Microsoft and Nintendo). That's all there is to it, as far as I am concerned.

As far the game in question, I am not a fan of this universe so I would probably skip it though.

Some folks have been waiting for soon to be 6 years on a hypothetical, port begging dressed as "legit" insider rumours etc.... Obvious campaign of folks that want the best games of the generation to grace their platforms of choice. PlayStation exclusives have a lot of mindshare amongst the hardcore traditional gamer. No one wants to be left out. Imo people need to stick more to reality and get the PS5 if you want to eliminate the waiting game... or be left out. The hardware needs to be pushed and sold - exclusives create an incentive to buy the hardware, and to stand out over its competitors. It's basic business 101. I would say some folks should give up on the folly but they would say they don't care and are proud of the fact. I guess it's what it's.

It's one of From's most popular games ever but didn't care to give it a Pro patch, could be on them, I'm sure their Sony partners wouldn't mind spending the dough. I just don't want another developer touching this game unless they have the right approach and don't ruin the art style.

I would welcome more From Software titles being on PC. Demon’s Souls Remastered and the Bloodbornes would be auto buys on my part.

No way on earth. If anyone were to make Bloodborne 2, it's Fromsoft. Maiyazaki and the studio adore bloodborne so in my opinion they would actually be on board IF they have the time and sony approached them. It all comes down to if bloodborne sales were satisfying enough for Sony to pursue more with the IP.

I'd be happy to have a sequel either way, but I'd be more confident in the game's quality if it was a PS5 exclusive.

Do you mean a PC release?

Because Bloorborne is Sony IP.
I'm 100% sure it will be PS5 exclusive if exists.

Lol.
If Halo or Zelda were multiplatform would you care and why?

This industry needs exclusives because they are great opportunities for devs to compete with each other both on a game design front as well as a technical front while fully taking advantage of each system's capabilities and unique features. Only consumers win from that competition.

And lets be honest here. If something REALLY interests you and you want to play it then you'll find the money to buy the console it's on.

Other - couldn't care less what platform(s) it's on, I wouldn't play it since I dislike From Software games. Don't like the art and find them tedious and boring.

Exclusives are important and it's a Sony IP.
If I wanted to play the new Animal Crossing I'd need a Switch (I am thinking about it).

Who cares, it wouldn't be on gamepass which means it wouldn't exist to a lot of the Xbox userbase and it's always good to have a pc version for archival purposes.

No, I don't give a shit about platforms ultimately. A good game is a good game. Doesn't make it more enjoyable because it's Playstation/Nintendo/Xbox only.

Bloodborne is a great game because it was developed by skilled and creative developers, not because it was only playable on one particular platform.

No sequel. From is at their best when they are pushing boundries and doing new stuff not limited by other games in the series.

Demons Souls. Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne, are all better than Dark Sous 2 and Dark Souls 3.

Just let them give us what they want to make, we will loveit.

I'd disown Fromsoft and Sony and destroy all my Soulsborne games. Then I'd go to Japan and burn their hq's to the ground while praising the sun.

Don't give two shits about SoulsBorne games so this doesn't affect me whatsoever but it is a Sony owned IP so it would never go on other platforms except for maybe PC but that's as far as it would go.

And nothing’s ever been as good since huh?
Yeah. I'm horny as fuck tho. :goog_relieved:

Nah but seriously. Why not a sequel? As long as it's not Dark Souls II levels of disappointment, it'll be cool.

The expectations and hype would be through the roof tho, and we now how that can sometimes.

I clicked other. If the multiplat is PS5/XboxSeriesX/PC then yeah. I dont want it held back by ps4 tech.

A reward for multiplat would be an upres ps5 only of the original 4k60fps

Multiplat is always the best way to go. Platform exclusives serve only to gatekeep a game, which is moronically stupid.

Games should be played by as many people as possible, on all platforms available.
Unless they're ma'am infested pozz garbage, then the consoles can keep that shit.

I would care because Demon's Souls and Bloodborne are the best Soulsborne games, so it's clear that Sony and Japan Studios influence made the games better.

Pointless question cause Sony own the IP. If you think they will just give that advantage away... you're mad! MAD!

It would never happen. It's a Sony IP. Focus on 1 platform = smoother development.

Honestly, it just doesn’t feel like it needs it. In the same way that we got Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro rather than Demon’s Souls 2/3/4, I would prefer From to create something new rather than try to lean on BB too heavily and risk creating a slightly less good version of the original. It’s exactly what happened with Dark Souls 2/3.

Based on Sony's recent investor reports, more Sony games will most likely come to PC. It wouldn't surprise me if they looked into a PC port, but I would be shocked if it ended up on a rival console as well.

Ultimately PC is a hard sell at release because they could just wait a couple of years and sell it onPC at full price and get large sales without losing immediate exclusivity. They could use the funding from the original sales to make even more profit.

Would it make the game any worse to play on the PlayStation platform? No.

There’s literally no negatives, and only the positive that more people would get to experience the game.
This is actually not true, multi-platforming means less optimization on every platform, so technically a game is worse off with more platforms.

You can see this demonstrated easily by just how bad quick-buck Console to PC ports are. Less effort in = technical mess.
