Cyberpunk 2077 | 1.05 Patch Comparison | PS4 - PS4 Pro - PS5

I doubt CP2077 would return to PSN store anytime before that big patch in February. There was so much customer complaints, if it comes back and its "slightly better" thats not good enough. People expect a fixed game.

Seeing the video in OP makes this whole thing a joke. There was a time 2 gens ago when the PS3 was my only gaming platform and I wish games ran that well. Yall played Darksiders with 100% screen tearing on every frame? What about Haze?

I think it'll be back after the January patch but we will see.

i think NPC on streets are very random , on pc with max crowd sometimes some streets can be empty depends from many situations and time of day if game goes into combat mode and you between crowds its kinda become empty really fast too and then you play on empty streets, then combat mode stops and streets again crowded. i notice that myself.
On PC the people run away when you start a fight, they all used to just crouch down forever before though.
Still huge bugs, like with maxtac units just appearing out of thin air when they supposed to come down in a drop ship thingy...
I also noticed out on the outskirts the city is dead of people, i think it is by design though.

Who is this YouTuber? Never heard of them. Are they legit experts, or just some random channel?

Meanwhile, on XSX, the patch made it worse lol

yes once i ran out from police into street , it was empty from cars and people like proper empty , so i run and run until they stopped chasing me and in second all cars and all people appeared on street lol.

The fact that they improved things so fast really shows how the management fucked up the game.

Still anyone saying that it was unplayable on PS4 was and is lying, the game ran really bad but it was playable and now runs much better.

The game crashed like every 15 minutes for me. I call that unplayable and it's the worst experience I had since Skyrim PS3 for which I got a refund as well. But sure I'm lying...

this is what people are upset about? sure the performance wasn't great on PS4 but i've seen games in much worse states :messenger_weary: but yeah it does look like the recent patch improved things.

For me it was hard crashing my PS5, not so much the performance. 2 of them caused me rebuild the database to get it to work again

It crashes constantly yet.
Or rather, still. Today I've had three crashes with about two hours of play (on a Pro, with this latest patch). And driving can still be so stuttery it's frustrating. And I have a rifle that can set enemies on fire - especially at close range, that really can tank the frame rate (really like the rifle though).

There is a big patch in January as well.

I think CDPR has been pretty aggressive with fixes..which they need to be.

On Dec 10th we had the Day 1 Patch. Three days later we had the 1.04 hot fix and 6 days after that we had the 1.05 fix. If you comparer the Day 1 patch to the 1.05 there has been significant improvements. If they keep this up, they should have the game in a much better state after the big January patch and then there will be the February patch.

I still have yet to have a crash on PS5 and I am now about 20 or so hours into the game. It is so weird. I have a few friends that had zero crashes with Demon's Souls, but i had about 6 in about 12 hours. Yet with this game it is crash free for me, but hearing some of you having constant crashes is weird. I do have my game on the internal SSD are others using an external? That is the only thing that could be different that i can think of.

Should we expect early January?

They did not say. Shortly after the release they had the conf. call and they said a patch would hit within 7 days and that was 1.05 which hit in 5 days. They then said the team will be taking holiday break (much needed was emphasized) and that there would be a big patch in January and another in February.

Look at the resolution bump on the base PS4

But some idiots will still say "the hardware is too old". Talking shit that they dont understand.

Game was rushed as fuck, do you really think that it was optimized? They put everything on low 720p and said "ship it"

Xbox One improved 13 FPS on some scenes. 13 fucking fps.

No one expected PC's High Quality on consoles, but it was obvious to anyone with a brain that they could do much better

We getting there. It seems like the Xbox patches has some features that are introduced earlier than PS patches (Tom from DF pointed this out in his analysis)

So I expect the same boost in performance on PS consoles on the next patch.

PS: Even the intro video is stuttery on the PS4. Guess the PS4 can't play FMVs, too underpowered.

Film grain and chromatic aberration was cleaned up. No longer looks blurry when those two are enabled. The problem is they now won't let you disable it 😂 Still getting crashes.

The game would look better on the base hardware if they disabled some of the specular sheen on many surfaces eg. the car roofs and roads. It doesn't look good in low resolution and gives the entire world a weird grainy / glistening look.

The game is running worse on PS5 after this patch. Popping is higher than before, lighting is fucked, settings are broken. No way this is in a good state

This.
I am surprised no one else has mentioned this. 1.05 runs way worse than 1.04 for me on the PS5, not as smooth frame rate as before. If I could, I would go back to version 1.04.

You can even see it's running lower frame rate in that shooting sequence when compared to 1.04(locked 60fps the whole section). Version 1.05 drops multiple times. DISAPPOINTING!!!

Had 3 crashes in 2h today which is better but still a joke. I think they got some memory leakage issue because if you drive or walk and a lot of assets stream it seems more likely to crash...

I think Sony's gonna make them re-certify, which means fixing the crashes. So whenever they can get there.

Area at minute 9:00 is pretty heavy on all platforms, I dont know why. I don't like driving across that area cause I know that is a hot spot where the game tanks.

I really hope the next-gen patch is coming in Q1

I would think they're kind of forced to push the next-gen patch sooner rather than later.

Thats if CDPR wants this game to stay somewhat relevant. Even if its negative press at the moment, some press is better than no press. And currently Cyberpunk is all what everyone is raging about since the launch of the next-gen consoles.

I wish that too...but with all the issues, I doubt we will get the Next Gen patch for at least 4-6 months from now. I think the focus will be to fine tune the game on base consoles/PC and fix bugs and other issues. They cannot afford to release a Next Gen patch and still have a ton of issues and perhaps even more if they rush the Next Gen patch. They have already taken a beating (much deserved) but releasing a bugging/poor performing Next Gen patch would be even more of a disaster. They need to take their time with the Next Gen patch and ensure that it in it's best possible state before releasing it.

I think the Sony thing will force their hand. They can't have a game not be available on the biggest install base so they have to get it up to par.

The game was released 10 days ago (Dec 10), not three weeks ago.

Holy shit, 10 days?!? That's FOREVER AGO (by Internet time)! How DARE they not have it fixed by now!!!

-100 out of 10! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEfund! (etc etc etc...)

It looks pretty good from what I can gather on 7 year old hardware. Sure I would be a bit miffed if I had a base ps4 and it had such performance, then again, I would only blame myself for not upgrading to a more powerful machine.

Yes the game was quite buggy on consoles but Ive seen worse bugs in Assassins Creed games, or Bethesda games for that matter. Fallout 4 was also a joke performance wise on PS4 when it launched.

Not to mention Fallout 76.

But gamers were up in arms, and the shitstorm was created.

Yes, those games were messes and should have also been pulled. What is your point?

There's been a reported regression in PS version where the game hangs in the display settings menu when changing the HDR setting. That kind of bug would hold off certification IMHO.
I was looking forward to trying this patch. Was playing the game and went to settings to turn chromatic aberration off since before it was always resetting to on. Couldn't leave the menu. Had to force quit. Fuck this game. Ain't touching it for the next 5 months. It's utterly broken.
