Cyberpunk is graphically amazing (on PC), but other than that is a complete disappointment. Night City feels like 90s era open world design. It's like an interactive screensaver. The linear bits of side-questing are decent, but it's not the game I wanted or expected.
The game is out, it shouldn't have to be fixed down the road. There are also problems that go much deeper than bugs. This whole thing is overblown to hell, it's ridiculous. The game will be fixed.
You're not old enough to remember 1999 if you're under the impression that Namco does anything other than pass around the physical game discs.
Typical Internet circle jerk
It kinda feels like a conspiracy. Somehow the Twitter mob got their way and managed to get everyone to almost universally pan the game. Cancel culture won in a blaze of glory.

Is this superman 64?My face is tired
Something doesn't seem right. People are posting fake and misleading videos like this to trash the game:
Funny as hell video but thats not what the game looks like on last gen.
Damn, they got to you too. There's no conspiracy. They released the console versions in an unacceptable state. If this were a PC-only release at first, the tone would be completely different.
They fucked up. They completely deceived their largest user base and sold a broken and awful product to them.
Damn, they got to you too.
Where’s that from then?
Well, they didn't really have the PS4/One versions till later. They still had to play those version to find all these bugs/issues, that took time. Let's not forget that every reviewer was only given the PC version early. Wouldn't that explain the timeline? I have a hard time believing that a memo went out... what would be the reason for them doing thing? What has CD Project RED done to them? They haven't screwed any of the outlets in the past, right? They've been looked at as pro-consumer, I just don't see an end goal for all of them to agree to "fuck" CDPR.I don't really see the natural outrage like with Mass Effect Andromeda or Last of Us 2. Players are quite fine with the game, especially on PC where the score is positive. Journos waited a week after reviews and now started bashing it. It's almost like a memo arrived or something. Also, 4chan noticed that a lot of 1/10 reviews on Metacritic are written by new accounts who only rated Last of Us 10/10 and Cyberpunk 1/10.

I have an XSX and after viewing that video I installed the game on my Xbox One S(which should be worse than the PS4 version) just to see how terrible it would look and I was surprised that it doesn't look like that video. He was either playing before the day 1 patch, a glitch, or was playing off some crappy external HDD or something. The framerate is ass but the textures and geometry don't normally look like that. Check Digital Foundry's Xbox One S footage if you want a more accurate representation.Looking at the guy in the bottom right, that's Gautoz from gamekult.com, a French site: Gamekult dit au revoir à Gautoz (tu vas nous manquer) - Actu - Gamekult
He did a live gaming session over a week ago where he showed ps4 gameplay in all its "glory". In the quoted footage, it's absolutely legit gameplay where the textures take ages to load (hence the ps1-esque textures on the npc's).
Too pro consumer perhaps. Makes EA and Sony look bad.Well, they didn't really have the PS4/One versions till later. They still had to play those version to find all these bugs/issues, that took time. That's called "entitlement" and "lack of appreciation". You should have used your head and understood that a next-gen game is not going to work good on a 7 year old console. Nobody owes you anything and you should be very thankful CDPRed is doing refunds out of their pockets. Try to demand that from Ubisoft and EA, let me know what happensIm not going to cry tears for CDPR just because they previously released one of my favorite games of all time
I wasn’t actually serious. Although, it is interesting how both Twitter and Resetera campaigned for the failure of the game, and the game ended up being a complete disaster if you didn’t have a mid to high end PC. A complete stretch for a conspiracy, but it’s almost like the failure was willed into existence.I'll admit, I haven't played it myself on last gen, but are all of those videos and performance breakdowns lies? I don't think so.
I'm enjoying the hell out of the game on PC, but it's a travesty what PS4 and XBO owners got. Even the PS4 Pro and XSX owners got something that was far less than ideal, albeit playable.
To me, the reaction is overblown due to two reasons. First, the game was HYPED. It was the second game from the Witcher 3 guys and everyone had high expectations, and rightfully so. The game was being hyped since right after end of 2012. Secondly, and this is the reason the reaction is overblown, is that the crowd that called CDPR 2077 transphobic have jumped on the opportunity to trash them as much as they can. These are the same people who love TLOU 2 story and narrative.
Just an honest assessment.
Says who? You? Lol, fuck outta here with your nonsense...Cyberpunk is a flop and people need to accept it, sheep have low standards though so they think anything is good.
It is a great game when not played on consoles it shouldn't have even released on.

Nobody owes you anything. End of the story. Bought a broken game - your fault. It was crystal clear that the game is not ready and is essentially an "early access".
Wasn't everyone saying multiple SKUs are also not a problem anyway? The delays weren't enough to lower them 'sliders'?The only joke here is people still defending this company.
Look at the original release dates and then ask yourself if the "last gen consoles are old" excuse is a valid one.
Okay Ma’amI'm trans
