That's good to know
I still cant decide, if it is worth getting the ultimate edition or not 😅
The Ultimate Pack contains only these things:

ULTIMATE PACK
Hack, infiltrate and fight your way to a liberated London with the Ultimate Pack including:
• The Urban Jungle Pack: includes three new characters: Lynx, Leopard, and Viper, as well as their animal-inspired masks and outfits.
• Receive 4 Weeks of VIP status** to earn in-game currency faster.
• The London Dissident Pack: unlock three new masks to lead your resistance with style; the Sapphire Guard mask, the Cardboard Cyborg mask, and the Distortion mask.

I didn't think those are worth the extra money, so I got the Gold Edition, which contains the Season Pass. I think it was a better deal.

The in-game currency is usable for only buying clothes for the characters, but it is easy to earn in any case. The "buy clothes for 100, 000"- Achievement is the only reason I collect and use the money ;)

With Ubisoft Games the general rule is get the Gold and don’t waste money on Ultimate.

You made the right call. The other stuff is really nothing and not worth it in the overall scheme of things.

Be careful with WD:Legion as the saeve bug still exists, if you go into the menu and it says connection to the server is impossible you are FUCKED and will not be able to save. As long as you see some kind of ad in the menu you're good.

I still haven't finished it entirely for that reason as it's a very frustrating bug.

On another note I tested Monster Train and it's really good, I was worried it would be a clone of Slay the Spire but the mechanics are completely different, it's faster, more arcade but less tight than Slay the Spire (which you should still play first if you haven't). Feels a bit easier than STS too.

The other card game they added, Neoverse, looks interesting but I struggle with how ugly it looks and all the generic assets it uses.

For indie games on GP this has been an incredible month between Call of the Sea, Monster Train, Superhot MCD, Monster Sanctuary etc.

I don't know what they were talking about specifically, but it's been pretty clear looking at the big picture that there have been consistent issues on some early Series X titles, and even sometimes stretching to PC.

With that in mind, we also know that devs only got some of what they need for releasing on the Series consoles a few months ago.

It only makes sense we're going to see some improvement over the coming months and years. There were fundamental issues that didn't exist on PS5.

But there were certain people here who are basically saying "Oh, it's been a week? Generation over. Anything after this doesn't count."

6secs in time on dash is 13:37. 24secs in time on dash is 14:28. 38secs in for final switch it's 13:38. It's edited and not one single uncut sequence. There is also a noticeable judder in the "quick resume" text animation as it comes in, so those have been shortened too. It's a great feature, and it's quick, it doesn't need people faking it like this though.

Tough one to call, if they were trying to fake it for an agenda they could have cut out the 6+ seconds of driving on each too, as noted above.

I switch between games and rarely see above 6 seconds QR time and usually it's ~4. I'm willing to suggest Twitter video encode, among other things, is a factor here, but you could be right. 🤷‍♀️

Quick resume was unreliable, the more games I had open the more so, it could range from under 5 seconds to 15 seconds to switch games, they would hang on the title/art splash page before the QR text appeared, they would randomly lose their QR state without warning and not from playing more game’s, since Tuesday something has gone on in the background it’s rock solid, nothing takes more than 5 seconds to load, nothing has lost it QR state, I said this Tuesday here and I will say it again, a fully functional and stable quick resume is the best feature on any next gen console, and for the record I also own a ps5, it is weird to actually play anything without QR.

Does anyone have the best recommendation for TVs that work with all the new stuff on the XSX? HDMI 2.1, VRR, 120hz, etc. It seems like every TV does some things good, and others crappy.

I have an older Samsung right now which is OKAY but I really want to take advantage of all the bells and whistles.

LG Nanocell 85 or higher, 9 series if you've got the money. Full HDMI 2.1 support on at least two ports, no chance of burn in.

Judder is there normally, I don't think this is faked at all.

Some games just seem to think they are better than they are, or that more people would care about some mechanics or minigames, seriously, Dragon Quest XI, i accidentally bought the Golden Reins and i will use them for the horse racing mini game, i don't care if my time isn't recorded...this is not a racing game and the tracks and gameplay itself don't make for a super exciting racing game either, are people really competing for better times in horse racing!?

As long as i get the prizes who cares, it's not as if they're the most fun thing ever and it kinda feels like limiting yourself is mostly just going to frustrate someone...still love how the game actually thought i would care that my time wouldn't be recorded in a minor racing minigame.

Was it updated or just brute forced? I'm holding of my Jedi fallen order playtrough in hope of a 4k unlocked update.

It's One X Enhanced, but Series X brute forces the frame rate to 60 and adds auto-HDR and 16x AF.

Doubt it and Fallen Order will get any more enhancements but you never know.

He's now admitted it was edited together and put up another new video. The transition from FH3 to FH4 is now ~7 secs instead of ~2 secs.

So unintentional but yes the transition was shortened - it's still very quick and impressive though.

I was confused with time, what you meant by that, I was just saying that judder is there, sorry about not understanding.

Leaving Game Pass soon, not bad considering the haul this month.

Well, nothing that interests me at least, not a big fan of fishing in real life, Farming Simulator always felt slow and would rather do or play something else to relax and Mortal Kombat...well, i will be honest with people here, i have always had a very weak stomach for gore and brutal violence, if i see action movies, i just want to see some bullet holes or quick slices, but the X-Ray attacks and fatalities in Mortal Kombat games actively make me want to look away, dear God, some of those moves are SADISTIC.

Man, i still have to try Tekken 7 and Soul Calibur 6 too, Samurai Shodown sadly isn't for sale, but these games at least don't have the sickening brutality(to me) of Mortal Kombat...yep, i am this much of a wimp when it comes to gore.

Has anyone ran into an issue where a series X game isn’t showing under the series X badge?

I have Ghost Recon Breakpoint and it received a series x update about a month ago, however it does not show the series x badge. The file info has the game under “Durango” which would have been Xbox one X.

I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling it and it doesn’t seem to help.

It seems to be a bug, Warzone was updated and had the badge then it disappeared. Some games still have the file name Durango even when updated, only good thing is those still run off an external drive.

It's probably a tall order right now but i would actually like to see X\S optimized games being officially labeled as being able to run off an external or not. I know they have external storage to sell us but it would be really helpful to know what doesn't HAVE to be put on the internal just by browsing through the game list quickly.
