Replayed all of them on PC as they were released. They were all far better than I remembered them. Had a blast.

My ranking:

- Halo 2
- Halo 3
- Halo 1
- Halo 4
- Halo Reach
- ODST

I'd rank 2+3 with straight 10/10 - and even Halo 1 is close to that. Bungies masterpieces.

You've got to say, after the abysmal launch (the time spent matchmaking still haunts me), the MCC really has turned out to be a fantastic addition to anyone's Xbox or PC library.

Honestly, if you have game pass, download it. Fantastic set of games (though H4 might be somewhat debatable, but I love the MP on it).

Amazing trailer.

Halo is truly an amazing series, after sticking in 90+ hours in the last 3 weeks into MCC just playing Halo 2 multiplayer (then some 3 and 1) I've just had ... fun, something that not every MP game provides and its a testament to how great these games were (and still are)

Halo 4 dropped the ball in MP but really good SP

Wish they would bring Halo 5, the MP is really good but the SP lacking.

So glad 343 did not give up on MCC, I was disappointed when it first released, it was also pushing technical boundaries and I don't think many games have done what this game has done (with having multiple engines in ones game) but it is literally perfect now.

Yesterday I finished the collection. I'm not a fan of SF so never bothered with Halo before but I have to say the franchise growed on me. My absolute favourites were Halo 4 and Reach. Fantastc collection and a nice hub, wished they put Halo 5 in it.

I gotta say, what a turn around, AND commitment to a product. Didn't it come out in 2014?

I still wish they could shoehorn in Halo 5 just cause.

One of the best things about this collection is that you can install only what you want to play, not only the games as a whole but the campaigns and multiplayer are all treated as separate installs. I really wish more devs would do this. If I have no desire to replay a games campaign let me delete that shit but keep the MP installed.

I was never big on Xbox and I used to play Halo on PC, but then I got a 360 because of Halo and eventually got an X1 almost solely because of this collection. To me it's one of the best packages in gaming, if not the best, now that there's cross-play between PC and Console it's even better. All they need to add now is a custom games browser and it'l be next to perfect imo, I miss playing some random ridiculous mode on fan created maps.

I wish more devs would do this with their collections. When the Nathan Drake collection released but didn't have MP or co-op...Fuck ND for that. Ezio collection without the MP when it was one of the most unique experiences on the market, so wack.

That trailer gave me goosebumps and reminded me just how much I love the franchise (yes that includes 4 & 5), and how much I’m looking forward to Infinite.

I’m due another complete play through and might go PC this time for 120fps!

This probably wins as the best collection in gaming for me.

There's been some absolutely great ones in the past, but MCC after all these years has turned out fantastic. The PC version with its mouse and keyboard support, controllers, graphic options, retro graphics or remade visuals, updated cutscenes, multiplayer etc all present and presented well. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with these games this year. I beat Halo 2 and started 3 immediately after and I never play 2 games from the same series back to back.

Metroid Prime trilogy and The Orange Box are also stellar.

Had a PS3 at the time so I bought Reach for PC.

Played Reach on hard: very cool game. Played Reach again on Legendary : welcome to my Top 3 FPSs ever list.

Most fun AI I ever saw in this genre. Yes, I'm counting FEAR.

Yeah Reach on Legendary have one of the best AI I saw. It's crazy that they actually doing AI scaling with difficulty.

Mind you it‘s all on a very high level mate. Just because I thought ODST was worst it doesn‘t mean it‘s a bad game. Just thought it pales against the rest. Didn‘t like the constant character swapping tbh.
I really didnt mind it in ODST, that said the character swapping was probably my biggest complaint with Reach. but that Marty O'donnell sountrack really stood out above many of the others.

Good collection now (after 6 years) but the multiplayer is dead and without a map voting/veto system I won't be coming back either.

I’m still mad that the last achievement for completing them all glitched for me and I never got it.

Incredible collection - and that’s just single player, never played one second of multi.

It legit surprised me how good it is.

When I died the encounter got very different. It happened each time, specially in big battles where there were more variables like allies doing their stuff. The experience felt new in a very organic way.

It is not like I'm playing against sentient AIs which outsmart the player everytime. I was surprised how they react and the implications for the gameplay.

In other FPSs enemies do dumb stuff all the time because the devs didn't create good AI. In Halo, they do dumb stuff for gameplay purposes. It is all part of the devs plan!

Many Halo fans must be reading this and thinking "duh, this dude thinks he discovered the wheel". Yeah, it is obvious but as someone who didn't have a 360, I'm legit surprised how more advanced the AI is in relation to any other FPS!

Anyone know if co-op works yet? A friend and I tried to play the first two games and couldn't. A quick look at the steam community showed we weren't the only ones. It's been a few months since I've tried. Is this worth reinstalling for coop?

This game is still extremely well populated for me. I play social with Halo 2A, 3, 4 and Reach checked on precision slayer. Get a game every time in less than 30 seconds.

Halo 5 on the other hand, had to uninstall as the wait times were minutes long.

Been playing the hell out of this on my series X. 120hz is butter smooth. Halo Reach and Halo 3 are sublime. MS ducked up and should have bought Bungie. Halo would be in a better place right now and Destiny would be exclusive.

My fondest memories of hopping on Xbox Live in 2004, Halo 2...

Bomb the base, Map Headlong ....

Hop on the warthog, bomb buy in the passenger seat, and a gunner.

then driving them in water and L M A O out.....
