Ok. Say your Switch wasn't somehow made in China. Your cartridges, sd cards and accessories were. The games you play were outsourced there. Oh and your cat? Guess where he is actually from? A box!Nope, I bought mine this year. It is not!

Do we know whether No More Heroes 1 and 2 will receive physical versions down the line? XSEED are the publisher, right?
Sounds like something one of the limited run companies would pick up at some point if not.Do we know whether No More Heroes 1 and 2 will receive physical versions down the line? XSEED are the publisher, right?
That's exactly my fear.I worry that developers might choose to go with a cloud option when a game is perfectly capable of running natively on the hardware.

lol, nice try my man. It’s one thing to buy products that are manufactured in part or using raw materials from China versus buying a Chinese company’s finished good. I don’t buy Chinese brands because I’m willing to pay more than support that country. That’s my choice and I’m happy to say no to Chinese goods. Hopefully, more goods will be produced elsewhere.
I like cloud gaming. Big believer in the tech.
It should not be a substitute for a native game. I worry that developers might choose to go with a cloud option when a game is perfectly capable of running natively on the hardware.
I'll get a little political for a second here here. There isn't anything wrong with goods made in China. Free trade is great and trade creates wealth. It's about leveraging comparative advantages.
There is something to be said about trading with countries that are actively trying to subvert your home country. Trade with China has always been lopsided for the US but has become worse in the past 3 decades as the China has modernized significantly. Unfortunately the government and corporations have failed to act in the interest and security of US citizens. Not so much a case of "they're taking our jobs" as it is more a case of espionage in China's attempt to change the world's balance of power.
I agree that it is good to support and encourage goods sourced from other countries-Vietnam, India, Mexico, Taiwan (keep dreaming Xi), Brazil, and even the US. That said, it is not really possible to completely avoid Chinese made goods. There is still plenty of reason to trade with China-the CCP is the issue here. The world governments need to work to re-evaluate their trade agreements with China and continue to put sanctions on the them. There is a reason why we do not trade with North Korea, Cuba, Iran...it doesn't make sense that China gets a pass given their aggression on an international level. It is a shame that the Chinese people and thereby the occupied states of Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Tibet also suffer as a result of their government.
As it relates to games, I can see why someone might be leery about installing Genshin Impact-especially after concerns about Tik Tok ant other Chinese software giants. Conversely I won't fault anyone for playing it either-it is a neat game. It is a shame because I think China has a lot to offer culturally and there could be a lot of great games produced by Chinese developers. Lots of tradition and myth to draw on. A great and creative people hampered by the actions of their government.
My biggest concern is that the US and other free countries will fail to take action.
Yes, I had already stood on my soap box longer than I anticipated but that's what I was getting at when I noted that we do not trade with countries like Iran, NK, etc. There are concerns about espionage, the environment, human rights, and cold war tactics from China. Our relationship with them should be a non-partisan issue. It is a concern for the world.Yes, in a purely economic, materialistic, and best interest of economic success for everyone your theory works. However, as you’ve pointed out, China has been abusing these economic relationships for decades. Also, the human rights abuses in China are inexcusable and they should not get a pass. Seeing how the government is so tied to everything, I avoid anything China as best as possible. Heck, I’m Catholic and even the Vatican has sold out the Catholic Church in China and I’ve seen its effects.
There's no such a thing as "Cloud for Switch". Cloud is platform agnostic, it's not tied to a platform. This version of Control can run everywhere.
I feel like the market will speak here. Probably these games will do well enough for the effort put into them, but nowhere near real native Switch versions.
Already I’m turned off, and I’m one of the biggest Switch fans there are.
Hopefully it just ends up being a last resort, where before, there wouldn’t have been a release at all. Like Cyberpunk, probably, as a good example.
For now. Hitman is also available on Stadia. It's not a Stadia game. It's not a Switch game. It's Hitman on cloud via client. But it's only on Switch.

I think for the most part we'll probably only see cloud ports for things where it's the only realistic option, but maybe there are few borderline games like Outer Worlds where they would have opted for the cloud instead if they knew it was viable.
What does concern me a little bit is that the Switch is in that perfect zone where it's at peak popularity and publishers have noticed, but it cannot really handle anything next generation so you started to see things like Monster Hunter Rise/Stories 2 pop up. If the Switch is able to "handle" next gen games via cloud then why bother creating someone unique for it when you can just have cloud ports for everything you put out on PS5/XSX?
Why are we equating a company to their government?Yes, in a purely economic, materialistic, and best interest of economic success for everyone your theory works. Yeah, let's just talk about cum again.
Woah the politics guys
Sorry, I made a comment about why I didn’t want a game and then was challenged on it.
How does that even work?Beware guys the Hyrule Calamity roster leaked. It is HUGE. And yes..Is playable.Hetsu
I mean im not a mod you guys can talk about whatever you want. However this thread seems to be a safe haven away from some of the other insanity and I wouldn't mind it staying that way.
Im also playing on hard, those 3 moblinsGame is beating my ass on the first mission on Hard. There's so much shit to take in.
This safe haven is a limited time offer and expires on March 31, 2021.I mean im not a mod you guys can talk about whatever you want. However this thread seems to be a safe haven away from some of the other insanity and I wouldn't mind it staying that way.

I rather wait for Switch2 to handle those games properly, but for a few, as an option i guess its fineIt’d be interesting if Cloud Gaming ever took off on the Switch.
It is a solution to getting every game on the platform. One just wonders at what cost, given the internet speed required occluding people like me, killing on-the-go portable functionality unless you have an *amazing* data plan, and introducing lag.
Personally, I’ll take my gimped visuals for something like Witcher 3 over all of that, but I guess in the case where a game literally cannot run otherwise, it’s a real option.

If only, everyone is fapping to Morax and Diluc.#JusticeForWaifus
Yeah, I lost to them twice and decided I'd just wait for game to come out. Might need to read up on how to play. The demo just throws instructions at you left and right and it didn't all sink in the first time.Im also playing on hard, those 3 moblins
But its still quite fun, i was worried that would be the end of the demo
@SLoWMoTIoN your avatar today is surprisingly conservative. Almost proportional. Everything ok? Want to talk about it?
Smh dark theme supremacists and their politics. Its for non light mode peasants.
