You'd be hard pressed to find a real-time raytracing solution that doesn't decrease detail.
Real time ray-tracing casts at most 1 or 2 rays per pixels, but for perfectly accurate path tracing you need tens of thousands of rays per pixel.
So. Good luck with that.

I think they do, I also noticed the ray tracing on the grunts and the high resolution shadows, notice how the lighting captures the trees sway and each leaf is perfectly gllistening in the real time weather effects. I was looking at the alpha effects and particles and was blown away.
You can see the reflection of craigs face in the back of the blue enemy with the cone on the back, if you zoom in 800 x you can see phil spencers face.

Yuri is the voice actor and mo cap. They've changed the face model - apparently closer to Yuri. But really its just closer to Tom Holland

Guess they wanted someone younger. Yuri is 49 years old and Peter is supposed to be half of that in the game. But Yuri's voice is perfect, so as long as they keep him in the role I've got no complaints.

Ok so I’m sure God of War: Ragnarok is only exclusive to PS5 as well.Sony confirms via their website that Gran Turismo 7 and Returnal are PS5 exclusives, not on PS4.
For anyone who was worried, only Miles, Horizon, and Sackboy are cross-gen.

When someone clicks on an Amazon or Best Buy or Newegg button and buys a game or piece of hardware we earn a commission on that. We are required by law to make sure that's disclosed, and we always do. And every day we link to retailers we don't have affiliate relationships with, as those Buy Links are a reader service first and foremost. It doesn't impact or touch core Editorial operations in any way, and our ecommerce team is run separately.
So when I say "we sold" PS5s I'm speaking in shorthand - it's a conversational podcast where we all speak extemporaneously.. IGN didn't sell them - but we can see in our reporting how many people clicked on merchant links and we can see in our reporting totals of what was purchased on those retail websites from people that clicked on our links.
So yeah - on PS5 preorder day, we sent about 5x as many clicks from IGN to various online retailers as we did on all of Black Friday. That's an accurate ballpark stat. That's the "headline" IMO."
From the video, he personally believes it's much, much bigger than an iPhone launch, at least from the data that he has on hand.

jokes aside. nice video. i didn't notice the missing shadow in the scene. but it is a big deal. something i believe the dev will fix.
It also is a sign that this remastered version isn't a lazy remaster. they have touched a lot of things. though I'm still not convinced to get the game, i respect the effort.

This is the weirdest most frustrating console launch in history. I have never been so anti-hype before for new consoles. At this point I don't care what Sony or MS does. They've both fucked it up.
We're a month away from launch and we still don't know the full launch lineups, system UI walkthroughs, special console features, hardware breakdows. FUCK ALL !!!
It wouldn't cost you a damn thing to record a video of some hardware or software engineers breaking down the system's features and uploading it to their official channels.
I could have a dick pick up on insta in a minute but who wants to see that.

Sony has don this before, where they supply all outlets with stock B-roll and put certain rules on what they can talk about or show.

We know everything about the PS5 that we knew about the PS4 by Oct 2013, except we don't have footage of the UI. Thats it.
It took them a while, but there's really not much for them to show/say.
We know all the specs of the PS5, box art, contents, prices, etc.
The PS5 launch lineup is 5 games from SIE. Astro's Playroom, Spider-Man Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, Destruction Allstars, Sackboy Big Adventure.
We have seen plenty of gameplay footage.
There are no special secret features.
The PS5 UI was described by Cerny in the Wired articles. I would hope we see footage next month.
Don't expect a teardown of the console from Sony until November.
