Photorealistic (only!) Screenshot Thread

Why people are still posting TLOU2 screenshots? Them are not photorealistic at all.

I think that there are only few games that are allowed here: racing games, Microsoft Flight Simulator and environment of The Order 1886.
Especially when those shots come from consoles lmao...with muddy textures everywhere.
Makes no sense.
It's not a thread about "good looking" games, it's supposed to be photorealistic.

These don't look photorealistic. I believe there's a screenshot thread somewhere these can get posted in.

That image is perfectly photorealistic. To be a photorealist, they do not always have to be images in broad daylight. That image is captured in-game under specific circumstances. It was night, there was fog and it is under a light of yellow hue, hence the color in the environment predominates. If one looks at the face, detail and quality of the fabric of the clothing, hat, weapons ... Everything comes in from what can be considered a photorealist. If you were to take a photo in real life under those same circumstances, it would not turn out much different than what you see there.

This thread is hilarious. People posting console screens with the contrast pumped so high, presenting them as photo-realistic.

None of these photos look real. None of them, even from PC.

What's your point? Doesn't look photorealistic at all.

This screenshot is around 10 years old, made with the early version of Steam's integrated screenshot capture (very lossy), and it still manages to look like an old Polaroid. No photo mode bullshit on this one. I'm sure it would look better if I tried again

Only if real life was full of video game men. He doesn't look close to photoreal

You need your vision checked. PHOTOmode bullshit that makes a screenshot PHOTOrealistic is what this thread is about. There are other Screenshots threads to post screenshots to

I will leave the debate of photo or not- realistic.
Just have to say I loved Half-Life 2s (Source Engines) visual output back in the day, and I still love it today.
The sense of stillness it manages to capture, to this day, makes me excited for an updated source engine (is Half-Life Alyx that?)

Looking at that picture can you tell that it's a game? or not real? If you can, then it's not photorealistic. Unfortunately, that the screenshot isn't photorealistic, like 99% of screens in this thread.

Thread title should be changed.

This thread is a mess. More than half the people here seem to have never been outside as the vast majority of these images do not look photorealistic at all.

I returned to consoles from several years on PC and I played TLOU2 recently in PS5 and it looks photorealistic in a lot of places. In fact it's the most photorealistic action/adventure game I played in years. So I don't know what are you talking about.

That's definitely AC with mods, ACC only has GT3/4 cars and tracks.

Damn, that's really good.
Keep in mind these were taken on PS4 slim. Pc 4k or new PS5 versions will be a treat.

It's hard to find this out but supposedly all these are running in real time. Nothing is prerendered which is crazy. This game have best characters. Even compared to tlou2.

It's even more impressive when you consider its animations, physics, AI, is all top notch too
When you stick a knife in an NPC and can see the pain on their faces and almost feel it yourself as the blade thrusts into their flesh, fucking plays with my mind every single time and speaks of the insane lengths of detail to which Naughty Dog went through for this game.
I'm still waiting for a PC/PS5 remaster of this.
