All games wiil. But it will only help games using uncapped frame rates or dynamic resolutions.

The PS5 will just run PS4 games like its a super PS4 Pro. Extra fast clocks to run games smoother.

Too bad that SMM is not a pure Next Gen game. You can see it at the fire as an example. But in general it still looks damn good.

It looks different for me with Horizon Forbidden West. I am surprised that it will be released for the PS4 because the trailer, which undoubtedly shows In-Engine and mostly In-Game! shots, screams PS5 and Next Gen from front to back. (The Pictures show it impressively)
Physis (clouds, wind), distance vision, Distant view, the assets alone for example, are of such high quality, variety and quantity that this is not even remotely possible on the PS4. I would speculate that two versions are actually being developed there. One for the PS5 and a (heavily) downsized version for the PS4.
(For example, the underwater world would not even exist on the PS4 (like Horizon zero down on the PS4). You would be able to dive into the water (cause of the Singeplayer Part) but all the assets, particle Effects (like the fish swarm) would not be there, at least the most important ones (Buildings) ).

This is how I see it with HFB at the Moment. It looks heavily Next Gen for me.

Could be, or they could just be thinking we are going to sell 120 million consoles regardless of what we do. that sounds a bit arrogant i know, but they are the market leaders and all, and have the games to back it up.

The ps5 price is simply breathing taking for the kit you get, its going to keep selling over time, no doubt about it.

Sony could be playing a totally different game here, just keep turning over the numbers and roll on.

Exactly. If they don't feel that will erode their brand then they'll do it. When a AAA game now costs over 100mil to make (I remember when they were less that 10mil) and the cost of those games has not increased, you've got to find some way to balance those books.

I think Guerrilla took a hit in this generation with KZ SF... So maybe Sony allowed them some flexibility with this release in order to get some bonuses per sales...

No, the reason is that in this specific generation, cross-gen games severely cripple the potential of the next-gen consoles. We all believed that Horizon FW will have ridable flying mounts, due to the PS5's SSD capabilities. Now we're not sure. We thought that Alloy would take a deep breath, dive into the sea and have an entire level of detail after forfeiting all surface textures in 2 seconds. Now we do not know.

Hey, man. I owe you and several other X-Box biased fans an apology for rightly being distrustful of trailers of Horizon 2 and other PS5 titles. The shot of Alloy under the sea could now just as well be a cutscene and not gameplay, because I seriously doubt that the PS4 can pull off such a thing (and there's no way that the two versions will be radically different other than higher res and better textures).

You were right to be cautious and I was wrong to eat it all up.

I don't understand why people are freaking out over Horizon Zero Dawn 2. You now believe it was all CG? There certainly is a possibility that the PS4 and PS5 contain massive differences. After all, HZD2 ain't coming out this year. If that was the case, than I'd be worried about the original footage. Some of you need to chill before you commit seppuku. I almost feel like creating a Twitter account just so I can bother the creators of these games on GAF's behalf. I'll say, "HEY! Heads are exploding here! Is this footage actual gameplay on PS5 or not!"

It was at the very end where they show a summary clip. It showed very short clips of games that they didnt go into details in the full presentation (also had destruction allstars, which I am eager to try out).
