Everything upto Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is not coming to Xbox One. Although not confirmed, its possible that Flight Simulator, Minecraft DXR and Forza Motorsport(or maybe even Hellblade II) will release in 2021. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 website used to say "2021" but now they have removed it.

Both the consoles have timed exclusives. In most cases(except for a few exceptions like Yakuza: Like a Dragon), we dont have any confirmation on nature and period of exclusivity.

Think I just need to accept that Microsoft isn’t making too many games for me. I am hopeful for Halo Infinite, but other than that I am not seeing a compelling reason to go Xbox aside from ports of games from other platforms coming to Game Pass PC.

Heard and read good things about The Falconeer. Makes me wonder what’s been cooking or actually going on pre-pandemic there tho!

Yes the Xbox launch period was ropey to say the least but they still had some new bigger studio releases like Ryse (previously codename kingdoms Kinect 360), Dead Rising 3, Forza 5 and not long after we got TitanFall .

Said it before, it irks me sometimes seeing the praise the chief gets considering what’s gone on there and what’s happened, I suspect Mike Ybarra can see it going by his tweets at times but that could be down to the way he left who knows.

I'd play the vast majority of the 2020 titles. Maybe like 4 I don't care about and a few I'd need more info on, but not a bad 2020.

Till 2022, they are relying on timed exclusives and 3rd party marketing deals as big first party games not ready. You will get Halo next year (hopefully improved).


2022 is time when you can start seeing more info or gameplay on Avowed, Fable, new initiative games n all.

I have a gaming pc, but I prefer a console in my living room. Xbox Series X will be the most powerful for 3rd party games. I also prefer the controller. I’ll get a PS5 at some point after the slim version comes out, assuming they are still holding a few games as true exclusives a year or two after console launch.

Because the X will be the best place to play multi plats? Or maybe because people have access to hundreds of games from the start of the gen via gamepass with some taking advantage of the hardware offering higher resolution/frames/HDR/raytracing. You going PlayStation for ratchet and Clank?. Sick watch out must play killer app right there......

Easy decision for me Xbox first then a PlayStation when they release their bangers..

Definitely lacking in sole next gen exclusives but let's not pretend the start of every new gen is not riddled with cross gen games. Does nobody remember PS3/360 to PS4/Xone? Came out with a limited selection of games which most were cross gen releases. Felt like forever until we actually got new games at a decent pace. All I did was play BF4 for the start of the gen.
