Realistically, about the only thing they could do is announce a surprise launch game or two... but to be honest, I think they all get out of each other’s way when big announcement events are being held. Big business likes to give off the impression of playing nice and avoiding dirty tactics to keep shareholders happy.

In the same way Sony kept quiet for Xbox last week, Microsoft will do the same this.

XBOX hasn't kept quiet after Playstation says anything to the best of my recollection so far. We'll have to see if they do after this show.

So... 2 pictures from “El Corte Inglés” retailer confirms the 499€ for PS5 and 399€ for the PS5DE.

PS5 would have to come with a bunch of stuff included with it in order to compete in price-value with XSS and XSX.

$499 and $399 are great prices, who would buy a Series S with a GPU that's less than half as powerful, less memory and a smaller slower SSD when they can get a true next gen machine for $100 more? As far as $499 the two standard editions for all intents and purposes are the same thing and are worthy of the same price. The Series X has GPU advantages but the PS5 has SSD advantages and will have a higher volume of higher quality 1st party games as well.

I'm sure at the very least they will casually mention that they have more stuff to share at the end of this week or sometime next week...

We still have yet to see more on their enhanced BC and some other stuff.. maybe some surprise games or studios etc (VR would be welcomed but doubt it would happen)

So excited for Wednesday. All the more so because my wife and I were looking for a home and found one that really spoke to us both for our goals.

The main reason for me is it will enable me to set up a game room just as my father once had for his audio hobby. Its almost identical in layout.

We offered low..no info yet, but I've been told our lowball offer is more enticing than anything else so far.

Be nice to housewarm with a PS5, if i manage a preorder.

I know it's off topic but just wanted to say I'm happy for you and your mrs. I bought this year with my GF and while I don't have a gaming room, I have my own home office and a nice living room. Me and her are gamers, so we just share the living room tv. She watches the games I play, I watch the ones she does.

Good luck!

After’s not so bad. I’m speaking more about the run up over the next 48 hours.

XBOX will likely stay quiet. They might not have anything left to say at this point they haven't said... and not likely anything they want to say leading up to a Sony reveal if they're saving a big gun announcement. If they have something, putting it before Sony puts out new info would defeat any momentum they could gain by saying it after.

Here is another photo of the English court, this is already from a box computer that is when you are going to pay for the product and it is already in the system both Playstation and Xbox

PS4
PS4 Pro
PS5
(PS5 DE)

There's technically gonna be 4 PlayStations. Really 3 cause the DE is just a PS5.

I'll be kind of surprised if they don't kill the Pro and just drop a new slim SKU. I don't think it's smart to have a low end premium console muddying the waters. Not like anyone has had them in stock for months anyway.

Put me on the train. Better to have a moose on the train than on the track...But nothing stops the train now.

With their new commercial today Sony is building up some momentum. They know its gonna be gud.. . If the not and the train derailes... That would be crazy on the net...

Great video, thanks for sharing.

Interesting comments on the expectations for this Wednesday's event. A lot of would want to see Horizon Forbidden West gameplay this week, but lets consider this for a second, the game itself is worthy of an event on it's own, why show it off now when you can save the ammunition for another big event next year, maybe around late 1Q of 2021. This is the same for several other upcoming games as well. It makes sense as well, Sony like to drip feed information and take their time to reveal stuff, as we very well know! lol

Sony's main objective for this event will be to encourage people to buy the console within the launch window.

Additional comments, with that being said, we will likely see a big "tease" for some upcoming and unannounced games, like GOD OF WAR!

I don't think Sony will open pre-orders without giving at least 1-2 days notice.

That Sony marketing guy did basically promise they'd give some notice.

My guess is pre-orders open Friday this week.

End the showcase with the announcement.

They opened prorders up for the PS4 at E3 the very moment they announced price.

I put mine in at Amazon while watching live. But then again, we are in different territory to those types of events, COVID, etc..
