Arkham Knight was so beautiful, so impressive, yeah the bad PC port caused Alex to go nuclear but whatever, it still rocked.
The whole Arkham series was great.

I wish it was not so.
For a change I can absolutely understand all of the negative reactions to the gameplay.

Is this supposed to be a continuation of the Arkham storyline or a new story? If this is continuing from Arkham Knight, they all ready retconned the ending of that game

I wish other companies would take note that this is how you should do an announcement! Drop a well-directed in-engine cinematic, then immediately follow-up a solid few minutes of real fucking gameplay (UI and all) and throw some designer commentary on top for good measure. I feel like I know exactly what this game is, and I'm pretty hyped for it.

Co-op batman sounds fun, but I can see the squabbles already over who plays who; hope they add more characters in the base-game.

Despite Batman being afk, it looks like this isn't the same continuity as Arkham Knight.

Barbara not being crippled, Tim being much younger, and Gordon being dead all indicate this is a different universe.

That said, I don't know how I feel about this. I'm really not a fan of the character design and voice acting so far.

I just wanted a Batman vs the Court of Owls game, and he's not even playable in this shit.

There is no indication of that happening. I'm taking what we're seeing here at face value and there is no reason to believe any of what you said will happen. Even if Bats does show up in the game, I doubt he will be playable without some kind of DLC infusion.

I know it's not an Arkham game and it's trying to be his own thing, but it looks like a less gritty arkham game, with all his colors and flashy moves...They should have gone full cartoonish look, but a "DC Animated movies" kind of cartoon.

Gameplay seems less refined than Knight. Levelled enemies makes me fear we'll reach a point where we'll be unable to stealth-kill (yea, batman game, you know what i mean) them.

In the end, I'm afraid it's gonna be an open world Avengers game (which i like anyway) without Hulk. Hope we'll see more of it in the future

I actually think it looks cool, I loved the Arkham trilogy (though I didn't play Origins), and I'm digging what they've shown so far.

I'm gonna be the minority here and say I actually wish they were leaning more into the multiplayer. If you're gonna give us four characters but then say we can only do 2 player it's kind of a bummer, but I suppose that would completely change level/mission design so I won't complain.

Crazy that some of y'all are nitpicking a character's hair in this Alpha build. Criticize the gameplay, criticize the co-op, criticize the big white numbers flying out every time you punch, but c'mon guys, some of y'all are way too eager to make "Craig" happen again. Give it a rest.

Kid, what are you even on about? I'm not "upset" maybe a bit disappointed. I was very excited for a new Batman game and I'm left somewhat deflated.

I can only comment on what I'm presented with, which is a Batman game with no Batman. Something we've been told outright in the trailer and in the press release.

I'm not even drawing conclusions from what they've shown, that's literally what they've show us. I'm not looking for anything, this is just how it is.

Try and make an example out of someone else with this ridiculous commentary.

They mentioned it in the gameplay walkthrough. I think if you’re playing single player, there won’t be an AI companion. Tough to tell since the walkthrough was being played coop.

Cool as hell that the whole thing can be played coop though, not enough true coop stuff these days.
