Watching the gameplay it looks like an SP Arkham game. Even player 2 just seems like a cool little option that's totally avoidable or could actually be really good.

...Then it gets to the Freeze fight and the whole leveling up stuff begins to show through. It actually looks really good but I expect there'll be a layer of depth removed to make way for that leveling system (no doubt it's actually gear). I just hope the system itself makes up fro that depth.

Looks like the Avengers game but made properly, using the Batman games style. I'm wondering in which platforms will release. I assume it will be a crossgen multi game (PS4/PS5/PC/XBO/Series X). Let's hope you unlock Batman at the end of the game for a New Game+ or something like that, or that they add a long Batman story DLC (a single DLC, don't turn it into a GaaS please).

GaaS can be both single player or multiplayer. GaaS isn't about its genre or multiplayer mode type, it's about releasing a good amount of post launch content (typically part of it free, and part of it paid).

Some of us are worried to see this game turned into GaaS because of the recent games followed that path, being a very similar one (The Avengers) a worrying example because it kept important characters locked as DLC and even maybe the biggest one (Spiderman) kept as exclusive.

So weird seeing Barbara, last issue of Batman I read she was on the floor seemingly dying after joker switched her legs off.

But Im digging the model and her voice is fine.

Day 0. Graphics look good. Character models look good.

Batgirl's voice actor/dialogue lines just feel off and canned, aka generic - don't hit well. If they could revamp that it would be nice. Her moveset also feels - lacking weight and speed. Catwomen's moveset on the other hand actually feels like Catwomen on previous Arham games.

Batman ain't dead... not sure this needs to be said lmao... appearance later in the game almost guaranteed in some form - even if not playable.

As for levels... all enemies have "levels", even on Arkham games (they just don't get health bar indicators - a good thing). If the enemies are getting indicators it means they have a sort of leveling system in place - might be well balanced or horrible (usually turns out bad).

It looks great, Single-player confirmed so the rest is fine with me. GAAS means nothing now so I don't know why people keep throwing that word around like it's a bad thing.

Despite Batman being afk, it looks like this isn't the same continuity as Arkham Knight.

Barbara not being crippled, Tim being much younger, and Gordon being dead all indicate this is a different universe.

That said, I don't know how I feel about this. I'm really not a fan of the character design and voice acting so far.

I just wanted a Batman vs the Court of Owls game, and he's not even playable in this shit.
