I mean, how is "were not doing what society wants" a selling point on a good relationship?
Same as "I don't want to lose her so..."
Or "I do feel jealous and angry but I push that right down because it's just toxic masculinity..."

At the end of the day when he first met his GF and started chatting her up and flirting and going on first dates etc I bet he wasn't thinking "I hope one day she will be fucking two other guys and I'll be sitting at home suppressing my feelings of jealousy and asking myself what those men have that I don't before concluding that it's not worth even thinking about". Yeah, sounds like a great time buddy.

Plus I don't really even see how it's less constrained than other "traditional" approaches.
Like, if you are outright deciding at the start who is the MAIN Relationship and then concocting a series of rules so that the Main Relationship is not violated then obviously there is still a strong element of control there.

So somehow you are allowed to go out and meet new people an develop feelings for them but once a member of the Main Relationship says "NO" you need to shut those feelings down right away. Like a fucking robot or something.
