The pauses to soak in the moment it's all A grade stuff but then it goes into just plot points that seem forced and terrible. If joel was to die have him die near the end or halfway. Perhaps have it that we think he's dead he isnt but he's on his way and he sacrifices himself. Such a divisive and strange game Last of us 2 seems to be.

I don't know how much of the first 15 hours is cut scenes and redoing scenes he got killed, but the actual gameplay might only be 12 hours or less depending how much cut scenes there are in the beginning.

I remember one guy saying a few days ago the game took 27 hours to beat. BS.
