I've seen enough of the spoilers, yeah. I've tempered expectations for my upcoming playthrough, and I'm sure you guys here in the spoiler thread have too, but the people over in the OT are in for some serious shocks.

Why give the model playing Dina a breast reduction? It's bizarre to me. I mean, why not use a different model altogether if that's an issue? I don't know, maybe to make her look more menacing or threatening? I don't know. It's pretty ridiculous to me for her to be this bulking mass of a woman in the apocalypse.

I'm sure some people will enjoy it. Not everybody is attached to characters in stories. I know I'm not, I'm more interested in themes and ideas. But poor writing is poor writing.

Here is a worthwhile observation of some of the non-gaming website reviews for TLOU Part 2. Smudboy is a relatively small channel, but has done great content on plot and narratives in video games.

TLOU Part 2 looks like a needlessly bleak narrative mess that is made worse by the gameplay and narrative being disconnected from each other. Ludonarrative dissonance at its finest.

I also in my other post that even for me her being this built doesn't make sense, but since she was a Firefly member where their bases were the most "modern." They had resources to develop a cure, I wouldn't doubt remotely they might not have resources to things to keep their soldiers fit; and EVEN THEN it doesn't make sense.

I don't mind explicit demonstrations of intimacy, but unless I'm beating the meat I don't see a point as the point could be just as easily accomplished with lesser. If that where true then they'd all be looking like hulks and she certainly wouldn't be the buffest person in the game... Anyway, you still need a very specific diet even when you are on roids/test.... LOTS of food. And you still need to work out like crazy. Maintaining an army as it is already costs a whole lot of resources. Roiding them out and making them work out constantly all day would nearly triple the amount of food resources they would need to spend to maintain that. Not to mention that it can't be just anything. It needs to be a balanced diet.

Besides, I could think of hundreds of things they would need to spend their time and resources on more than test... Let alone the time for body building and all the recovery days...

Fact is, in your natural state, you are far more efficient with food intake and energy expenditure. This is why if you look at the closest thing we have today of people living in survival situations of scarcity, tribes, they aren't giant hulks. Yet they are very athletic and they do a lot on very little.

But yeah I agree, her body shape doesn't make sense and was clearly made to get a rise out of people and call her a dude and whatnot.

Also, call me crazy, but I wonder how much of this game was rewritten so Neil could top God of Wars "cycle of violence" message.

It's pretty bad. There was one example I shared earlier where CohhCarnage just crouched through high grass with an enemy looking in his direction as he was moving and didn't budge. Another where Dina was shooting at an enemy and crouched behind a table, the enemy saw it all happen, and was like "Where did they go?! I don't see 'em!"

It's REALLY bad, lmao.

lol, that was horrible. I've started watching a walkthrough on youtube and i could tell from the beginning the story was dumb. But dear god, i didn't expect it to reach such levels of bullshittery.
What can i say, pretty much the kind of plot i'd expect from some privileged rich guy living in a first world country who regardless still waves victimhood status on social media. I hate judging it like this but damn some people make it hard not to.

I loved the first game but no way in hell I am playing this pile of shit. The ending is horrific

Ellie gets a conscience after killing 100's of people. IN an epic showdown with Joel's murder, ellie gets a vision of Joel and for some reason decides to let her go. In the struggle Ellie lost a few fingers. She goes back to find her home abandon and only the Guitar left that Joel gave her. She goes to play it and realizes she can't because she has no fingers.

What a shitty ending.
