Well, you have to download all Modern Warfare to access a F2P game, then the first screens you see is:

- Hey, make an Activsion account or login.
- You should buy MW.
- Here is a season pass.... It's totally worth... Even though you didn't even played a match yet.
- See those operators? Buy the game and you can have them.


None of those are really bad, but the way they were put gave me a bad impression, that's it. I feel that Apex, for instance, doesn't push the player that much and have more "important" rewards as F2P game, like, the ability to unlock all the characters for free.

Anyway... Just my opinion.

I normally agree, but the rank mode for Apex makes it fun for me. Otherwise, I completely agree with everything you said there, lmao. And the MW Warzone BR is pretty unorthodox. I'll have to play it some more.

Due to time constraints, I've only played the tutorial and practice game one time. Two quick thoughts were: 1) Holy crap, this looks and feels exactly like Call of Duty. I honestly expected a poor man's version of it due to the size of map and player count. Pleasantly surprised here; and 2) Yep, this cannot be played like Fortnite - not a dig at either game, just going to take time getting used to it.

Played a handful of rounds last night with friends. Won our last match of the night and holy shit it was an intense experience. Gameplay is tight and responsive and it looks amazing on Xbox One X.

With this being a F2P game, it would make sense that this has legs beyond the annual COD release. I just hope they keep gameplay elements and updates grounded in the realistic setting they’re going for.

Had a go at it. Got into a game no problem, ran around for quite some time, killed a guy, got killed, got killed in the gulag, and that was that. Came 22nd. Not sure it's the best use of my time.

After playing five matches, i decided, again, that BR not for me. Other than that... This game's BR is full of action, fast moving, and with Gulag(which is great)/respawn mechanics it keeps you in the game all the time(less spectating/more firefight). No need for 20 minutes of looting, you can have all you need in 5 minutes max. No need for optimizing every little part of your gun like crazy, you just find full package all around you. Player count always around 50-80 until very late, and ring's closing rapidly, so you're fighting without rest till you die.

So i can't decide if these features are good or bad for a BR game. It feels like "Ground War" with looting. I will play it time to time though. Trios(only available mod right now if i'm not mistaken) sucks that's for sure.

That's pretty much what happened to me except I had to download it twice, and I hate it. I don't get the same thrill with it as I do with other BR games. Something about it just isn't clicking with me.

This is by far my fav BR game period. Finally tweaked the controls how I want and feeln it now. Won 7 games back to back. My fav part of the BR is that I feel the TTK is PERFECT. Not to long and not to short, the body armor only having three layers and not advanced levels is perfect and fair for everyone who cant maybe say find a level 3 body armour like in most games. When getting shot at you still have a chance to take cover and out think your opponent or armour up one quick and see what happens. Also the snipers in this are beast. Took out 15 players last game from a long distance, knocking off armour or going for the head shot.

I'm pretty sure you get them from the dropkits that allow you to use your custom loadout.

Looking forward to seeing Fortnite dethroned. It’s going to happen. I mean, a full retail priced modern warfare is number 2 in the industry right now so a free-to-play CoD BR should be massive.

It could turn the tide if you've got a team-mate who died with you giving you callouts on positions and also lobbing rocks. Gulag is such a neat idea.

I can't recall, but I think the boxes with rarer loot items actually have a different colour? Don't quote me on that, but if someone else knowledgable could chime in and confirm that'd be great.

Yea the boxes are color coded based on the rarity inside.
