I applaud Nintendo for not censoring... they deserve that. I came to accept unfortunately that NA companies like MS and Sony jumped on the bandwagon for now... and still it is an issue a bit overblown as most publishers, see FF7’s ethics department, censors themselves. This is the climate we live in.
You might not care about it that much but I do, I don’t want my favourite games get censored. I’m sure lots of people would have been super pissed if the violence in MK games get censored as well.

I do get that, I personally hate, HATE modern western gaming culture and hate the fact they are dragging Japanese games as well but Nintendo is doing right thing not letting their 3rd party games gets censored and want to see Sony do the same.

That's great and all but my personal issue with MS is that most of the time Xbox is not getting Japanese games I want to play, i don't think Atlus is even that interested releasing their games on Xbox, heck even PC has bigger chance getting Persona more than Xbox does.
That's not censorship, that's rating compliance. For full nudity they would have to designate their games as A/O which would be a product death sentence.
I'd rather have Sony invest in their own first-party instead of trying to have (timed) third-party exclusives... I hope that the greed of big third-party publishers will ensure that their games will release on multiple platforms. I strongly believe that the era of third-party exclusives is over (as it should be!). That's not censorship, that's compliance, they're two completely different things.
That change in protagonist is also a product of current social media times, but it is not actual censorship.
