Captain Marvel Official Trailer

Looks like Generic Superhero Movie.

Happy to see Coulson and young Nick Fury, though. Those two could cover a lot of weaknesses in the rest of the film.

I guess I would say...meh?

Doesn't look awful or anything, just not a particularly exciting or interesting trailer. I'll have to wait for more media.

It doesn't look bad but I can't say I'm excited either. De-aged Samuel L. Jackson is the trailer's high point. The biggest disappointment is that cosmic energies should have Kirby dots.

The only thing impressive about the trailer is how they made Samuel Jackson look young. The main character looks very bland and the movie looks like yet another generic Marvel output.

Looks awesome for a first trailer. I'm glad they are holding back and not showing most of the really cool stuff.

I enjoyed the trailer and I'm interested in seeing the movie. I just really hope they don't go full SJW on this. Make it about her being a hero, not about her being a hero because she is a woman. The rhetoric out of Brie Larson's mouth hasn't given me much hope though...

Ehhh.... nice??
I guess...
So she's the one capable of defeating Thanos?
Technically speaking... nobody can defeat thanos at this point. Even with his nerfed gauntlet. She is just the catalyst for something greater.

I'm guessing she'll be the heavy hitter and take over the position from Thor.

I don't know how much they are holding back in order to not spoil anything for Avengers 4 but that trailer was a bit underwhelming.

I don't know, if this didn't have the Marvel logo on it I wouldn't have even bothered to finish the trailer. Not a great first impression.

I'm getting some Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern vibes with the cosmic similarities of the lantern force, captain marvel stuff.

Captain Marvel's story is kind of convoluted so they made a straightforward easy to follow trailer to appeal to the masses. Seems fine to me.

Got to love idiots on youtube who don't know why she punched a grandma. Kids these days don't know who the Skrulls are lul

Another Marvel film, exacly the same as all the others.

No, this looks more generic. More like Thor the Dark World than Ragnarok for example. Marvel movies don't work if they take themselves seriously.

Marvel Trailers usually have heart, this feels cold and also somehow boring. Even Aquaman looks more like a Marvel movie than this.

This pretty much. What I liked about the later Marvel movies was that they each started to have their own style. It's something that I've enjoyed with Thor:Ragnarok, Dr. Strange and Ant-Man. But this looks generic as hell. Heck, you could put the narration over almost any other superhero movie and still get the same result.

Well that strikes me as overstating it but there hasn't been quite enough revealed. Just seems like a fluff piece. Sorry but the current Thor , Odin , and Doctor Strange are insanely powerful. She is a cosmic level hero and I imagine she will put her in that list of heroes. Truly no way to confirm his words unless I am a writer or have seen the movie.

Just seems kind of vanilla and generic, I have no strong opinions one way or the other. Vanilla and generic is also what I would call Brie's performance in what was shown, maybe it's just the trailer.

Feige has been stating this since 2016 that CM is the most powerful superhero in the MCU:

Haven't watched, not interested. Is this a joke edit or does this happen?
It's taken from the trailer.

Well that looked as boring as hell.

But it's marvel so it will probably make a billion dollars in day. Can we just skip this and get to Avengers 4?

Trailer was okay. Like the camera work during her jumping onto the train scene, hope there is more of it in the movie. Effects looked nice, villains are interesting.

Marvel likes to release the first trailer that is all serious and epic then they follow it up with trailers that show off more of the humor and general plot, so I am gonna wait and seen how Brie acts when we see more material, cause now she mostly is very stoic.

That trailer was super bland. It's a shame too because I like some of the things they are doing in concept but the film has no personality of its own and, as a result, Larson doesn't either.

Watched it again and man, she has that blank expression all the time. If she is going to end up leading the avengers she needs some charisma.

People can doubt and hate, but we all know that the movie is gonna be number 1 for several weeks and be financially successful.

It's fairly obvious at this point that Marvel doesn't make bombs.

Oh come on, you can't simply introduce the Skrulls now after 15 years of Marvel movies never hearing about them just because they're primarily a Fantastic Four villain. EVEN THOUGH GUARDIANS HAD A KREE VILLAIN.

Looks boring. I don't know this actress but there is no star quality about her. I could throw a rock outside and hit someone that looks the same

They were in the ultimate marvel universe, and in the avengers cartoons also. Its not like they were only in the 80s and 90s. Even super Skrull was in marvel vs capcom 3

Nothing special, will watch it before Avengers 4 hits though as I will be watching that in cinemas but this will likely be a rent.

The bad guys are aliens called Skrulls. They can take the form of other beings.

So yes it happens but no she's not punching an actual old lady.

Awesome, the trailer isnt showing a lot obviously since it's just a tease.

Just another marvel movie just the same eh? Hell yeah, just another VERY entertaining movie!

Cant wait for this one and my daughter will be very happy, she loved her in the animated series and one more strong female hero for her besides Gamora.
