Can anyone recreate these artifacts in this area on their pro in Fallout 4?

Its been bothering me and Im not sure what it is. You can see that it happens UNDER the blur that the pip boy creates, making me think its a ingame issue rather than hardware.

The way it blurs when you pull up the pip boy says it's a fallout 4 problem not a ps4

Anyone with a 65XBR850D having issues with their pro? I'm constantly being disconnected from the tv signal, sometimes to every 5 minutes. It's really bothersome and I only use certified cables. I can't even use HDMI2 on the tv because the bandwidth seems to be too much for the tv.

so is it worth getting a PS4 pro if I have a pretty beefy pc, and only really wanna play P5 and maybe Death stranding down the line? I have no interest in any other games coming out honestly. Maybe last of us 2?

I'm asking because the PS4 pro is fucking impossble to find and the white slim looks fucking ace

Are you not interested at all in Horizon, Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, Ratchet and Clank, Bloodborne etc? There is also third-party software which is not on PC yet such as FF15. I would say get the Pro because most of these titles see quite big improvements on Pro and you must be spoiled by playing on a good PC; and then sell it a few months later if you just want to play only a handful of games.

Nah, uncharted just isn't my thing, honestly. I'm a Kojima and Persona fanboy. I was a Final Fantasy fan, but 13 deleted all my goodwill for the franchise.

anyway, if a pro was available readily, I'd definitely get that, but is the slim really that bad?

For what is worth, FF15 is the complete opposite of FF13 in all aspects, I hated 13 but really liked 15.
The slim is not bad at all but for 100 extra bucks you're getting a more powerful and future-proof console that already plays most of the high-profile games better than the base PS4; but if you just want to play 2-3 games why not wait until they come out and decide then.

The Pro is an "enthusiasts" console... I've got one and I don't have a gaming pc. I've totally bought into the PlayStation ecosystem and I really like their exclusives - for me, the Pro made sense.

Honestly, for your situation, I'd be buying the slim.

I'm really thinking about grabbing one but I won't be getting a 4K TV for at least a year or two, I'm so conflicted.

This was me in November.

Why get one if I don't plan on grabbing a 4K set for a long while?

Well, just bought a 4K set. I was pulled in.

Hey guys. So been fiddling around with HDR on my 4k TV. Playing Horizon on a LG 55UH7700

And the colors and image look great, I'm just not sure if this is actually 'hdr great'. When I turn HDR on and off the difference isn't much.

Anyone with this TV? What're your calibrations on it in making the Pro look boss?

Thanks for the help!

Don't tempt me...

I went to Best Buy today to look and they were in Stock, I then looked at the 4K TVs for a good 20 minutes, and the price tags for another 20 and walked away sulking.

Just a note, but I really wish there was a place that tested the Pro on a 4k TV. BB and Gamestop both use 1080ps and OGs and it frustrates me to no end.

It was a pipe dream, and I made it into a reality. Can't wait to see what this thing can do on an OLED 4K.

Any guesses as to whether we will get the Pro in Glacier White as well?

Are they still having issues meeting demand for the black one?

Yeah, the 1TB SSD in my Pro is an awesome upgrade. If you find a good sale or have the spare cash, I highly HIGHLY recommend you guys pick one up. The load time improvements are significant.

I bought a 480gb ssd and that was pricey enough. I'm waiting for 4.5 because I have a 3tb external hdd.

They still seem to be sold out in most places in the UK. My guess would be that they'll save new colours for when they've satisfied current demand. Shame, I would have loved a white one.

Yup, just got the slim. Coming from 144fps, it honestly doesnt feel that bad. Playing games on a pad and a big TV seems to make the framerate OK. FF15 is pretty distracting tho.

Whatever, I don't regret it. I can't fucking wait for Persona 5. Pre ordered the take your heart edition while buying my PS4!

I have a question.

Im transferring data from my old PS4 to my Pro and I didn't select all applications since I didn't want the transfer to take too long but if I wanted to transfer some more apps again could I do that after the initial transfer is done?

Who in here is using the Pro with the LG B6? Is it amazing?

I just bought one, and I'm excited. Coming from a low-end Phillips 1080p 40" from 2011.

I am, I don't know what it would of looked like on my old tv. Backstory: kids were playing knights in the family room even though they were told not to and one of them smashed the 48 inch tv screen (2 year old tv) with a sword right before Christmas and I had just bought a ps4 pro as one of the gifts for my girlfriend and I for Christmas. I got a b6 to replace it and the kids new gaming tv for the ps3, Wii, and gamecube is the broken tv with a 5 inch vertical white line going through the screen top to bottom and a bunch of thin horizontal white lines going across the screen. Their old gaming tv is now my bedroom tv.

Anyways, the b6 is fantastic.

Jeeze, I'm calling the ispcc. Get your kids a new TV ;)

^^ No, don't think you can transfer anything else after the initial one. However you could start the whole process again and transfer everything this time (the original console stays as is after the transfer)

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
Am I the only asshole that struggles to find the power and eject buttons?

I know where they are, but always confuse them. Granted, 99% of the time I power the system via the controller anyway and being a digital only consumer, I never use discs. But occasionally I'll watch a Blu-Ray and struggle to pick the correct the button to eject, sometimes hitting the power button instead. I'm mostly not a fan at all of how they are designed and placed this gen.

I find how well they are hidden to be fantastic. Its the only electronic my 2 year old has yet to turn off while I am using it. She loves buttons and has reset my computer, tv, other game systems multiple times while I was using them. Thank god modern electronics have auto save features and other backups so I usually don't lose much.

Finally ordered mine as Amazon France had it for €369 (+€20 for shipping). Now I just have to wait 1-2 months until they have it in stock!

Does anyone have a Pro that stays relatively quiet while playing Infamous first Light uncapped?
Mine gets pretty loud (more than my vanilla PS4 ever was) in this game especially when there's a lot of neon effects on screen.
More than I'm confortable to be honest considering it's still winter...
What other game is a good "noise test"?

is Amazon (USA) never going to get these in stock!!...it's been only available through 3rd party sellers for weeks...did Sony underestimate the demand for the Pro and didn't manufacture enough to meet demand??...

Try another place IMO. Most other companies in the USA have it in stock.

Woke up and saw the Pro was out of rest mode and powered off. Tried rebooting a bunch of times and got the system storage access error.

Put the old drive back in and was able to reinitialize. Looks like the damn Firecuda died. Didn't look like there was any power outage overnight but for whatever reason it failed.

I say yes.

I only have a 1080p TV and I got a Pro. Downsampling is great in the games that support it, as well as the 1080p performance modes. Throw in boost mode that gives a decent to moderate boost to non-pro patched games, and it its completely worth it IMO.

I was thinking of getting a Firecuda and an enclosure to go with my pro purchase. Anyone using the 3.5 inch model? Prices are pretty comparable between the drives. Just not sure if the performance gains outweigh the extra heat and power requirements. Discussion of external drives seems to have tapered off recently.

So. Got a buyer for my retro ps4 so I'm ready to join the PSPRO cult tonight! Ready for the intiation rites! I also just picked up the new tomb raider and will be picking up Horizon with the pro purchase.
And I got a brand new 65ks8000 to play it on! :D

Hold me down gaffers! I'm to excited to sit still.

I need help.

Got my Pro at launch, I use it every day. Two days ago I started getting no signal on my TV when turning it on. I have to wait several minutes then the signal eventually appears. And now it's randomly dropping my hdcp 2.2 support. I haven't changed cables, firmware, or anything else. All I did was switch resolution from YUV to RGB which of course my display supports, but this is when the problem started. The black screen on boot/wake up and hdcp happens even after switching back to YUV.
