If there is any, can anyone list confirmed leak info? Not like accessories or anything like that. Are we still in the dark, mostly, about launch lineup, price, SKU?

Is there any chance that this will turn out like the terrible NES Classic situation? Like how you still can't get one of them months later, and not as much for sales as for an insane shortage of product.

still predicting Zelda, Mario, and a racing game (wave race, f zero, excite truck, or mario kart) from Nintendo at launch. Nintendo loves launching with racing games. Nintendo needs a huge surprise title at launch besides Zelda.

The Wii situation? Nintendo produced more consoles than basically any video game manufacturer up to that point.

Kind of crazy how misinformed people are about that system's supply over a decade later.

So...apparently the Youtube app on my s7 edge no longer has a cast to tv button.

And when I click to watch the presentation on the Wii U YouTube app, it brings my TV to a black screen while the Gamepad has a black screen that says "Please Stand By". Is that normal as I've never used the Wii U YT app before.

I used to feel this way about this stuff too, but somewhere along the way I've learned to be excited and hopeful without feeling let down if it's not as good as I'd hoped. It feels ways healthier and more fun, honestly. I wish I knew how I changed my mindset so I could give you pointers, but it just kind of happened?

Zelda - Obviously
Mario - I'm fairly confident
Racing game - Little to no chance of wave race, f-zero, or mario kart unless it's a port which i doubt. Excite Truck is the most likely candidate

Also expecting some kind of Wii Sports like demo pack-in and a few surprise third party titles.

Nintendo probably ordered 100,000 in total and expected them to sit on store shelves for a year. In this case I really don't think they anticipated the demand based on the number of other types of Retro sold.

Too late at 11 PM to be up watching it on the big screen on a work/school night. Wife is at work though so I can watch from the bed with no worries!

More like retailers didn't expect the product to sell well, so they barely ordered any and by the time they realized "oh shit, this thing's gonna' be huge", it was the holiday season and too late.

Here are my predictions/wants:

-System will launch for $250
-Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a launch title
-Either one of these: new Platinum IP title, Bayonetta 2 port, Bayonetta 3 announcement
-All your Wii U VC purchases roll over
-Mario game to come out in the Summer

Dude, were you even around when the Wii first launched in the United States? It's common knowledge that there were shortages months after launch. I would know because I couldn't secure a system until January and that was with me checking my Gamestop every single Friday when the shipments came in. And no, I did not live in a rural area.

I'm not misinformed.

There was no situation with the Wii Nintendo was making them as fast and shipping them out as fast as they could demand was just on another level compared to any other console in history.

This is spectacular news. Something about a live event to showcase new hardware gives it more pop than a slick, heavily edited YouTube video.

I wonder who all will be onstage. Do you think Reggie and Shibata make an appearance, since this is being broadcast across the globe?

Kimishima and Miyamoto seem a given, as does Aounuma.
