Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite Gameplay Trailer

I want this game right fucking now. I am completely fine with 2v2 no assists and the infinity stone mechanic. Capcom has always made sure that the gameplay is good so I’m not worried about that.

As long as the game has a large roster, plenty of stages, great presentation (graphics and animation will get better over time), and easter eggs/cameos galore (I loved the unique introductions before and after each battle), then I will be very happy with this game.

Oh and a complete singleplayer and multiplayer experience from the get-go? Thank goodness Capcom learned their lesson, as I’m sure Marvel refused to release this game half-assed like SFV was at launch.

To reiterate, nothing is keeping marvel from including whoever they want. And while I do believe there is some sort of soft ban going on around there on non-Marvel Studios licenses, Marvel Heroes peeps said the same shit about mutants last year and then they included Beast for this year's pack and we were like "oh...a mutant?"

So hoping for murants and whatnot might be a long shot but it certainly isnt a pipedream, and much less impossible.

That's basically the only interpretation of such odd word choice, yeah?
True, but I can at least hope that they're being straightforward about this. If nothing else, the fact that GI mentioned that they weren't really concerned about the question does bode well.

The problem is that Marvel Heroes was initially released pre-ban. Gazillion can add whoever they want until 2019.

With the Marvel 3 re-release on current gen... I can definitely see this becoming a Smash Bros Melee/ Smash Bros Brawl situation.

I'd love to be wrong and MvC∞ turns out to be a masterpiece.... but I really think there's going to be a significant amount of Marvel players that try to hold down UMvC3.

Not gonna happen. Capcom players always move on. It's not unique either, the only hold out is Melee.

dammit this is bothering me now. are combos going to be basically TAC combos with no way to break them? cant wait to be juggled for 30 seconds with TAC like combos.

MvC3 launched with 36 characters so better not be under 32 here Capcom. It's looking very rough around the edges, but its still a year away. Hopefully they don't ruin the good will they have with Marvel with an average and disappointing entry.

Best wishes.

Does anyone have a quick explanation of the groove system for someone who never played CvS2?

6 different types of play style

C - air blocking, 3 section bar, pretty much alpha
A - Vism from alpha 3
P - Third strike groove. One big bar and parries

S - Dodge and chargeable bar
N - Bar holds "stocks" use two to gain access to level 3 supers for a period of time
K - Samurai showdown bar fills as you take damage

People need to stop panicking like idiots when they see Gems... they don't even act anything similar to SFxT's gem system here.

It's not our fault Capcom associated that word with gross micro transactions. SFxT is still relatively fresh in people's minds.

MSH+MVC1+TVC

This looks fantastic for such an early build.

People will start singing a different tune in 6 to 8 months once they add meshes, shaders, and work on lighting. It looks very early in development.

And since it sounds like Jennifer Hale is voicing Captain Marvel instead of Brie Larson, can we confirm that MCU actors aren't lending their voices? I never thought that rumor was believable anyway, knowing how much RDJ costs to book.

The amount of people declaring that the game shit based on a just under a minute of gameplay is baffling.

These systems are probably in early stages and not even finalized yet.
in the preview it says that teammates can come in at anytime to customize combos. sounds like TAC like combos to me. the preview also said the huge cast as something that was daunting to new players. i seriously hope the cast isn't going to be smaller so casual players won't have to worry about learning many characters. if it's 2vs2 then the cast better be big.

Especially considering you have no reason to do "Tony Stark" voice in a game like this. It's all "Iron Man" voice post-effects pass.

Yeah... I had already come to this conclusion during the reveal trailer this morning. SFV's reveal had a heavy focus on the FGC and the hardcore culture around Street Fighter... and in the end that focus was seen largely as why that game didn't sell as well as expected.

MvC∞ debuted with no tournament b-roll... and with clearly worded write ups about arcade mode, cinematic story, and a slew of single player content that SFV was dinged on. SFV also debuted with the Mike Ross vs Combofiend match.... where's our Chris G vs Combofiend MvC∞ match?

That's not who they want to ultimately sell this game to.

Well it is a smart approach on paper. But I think it has to satisfy the needs of the FGC as well. Jury's out on that one.

The graphics are way more appealing to me than MvC3 to me, so I'm thrilled about that. I also prefer 2v2. Still hyped about this game!

I personally welcome 2v2 in it because I will feel less overwhelmed.
Just saying, to casual observations it has some of that vibe.

I don't know why you quoted me on this, but yes I agree! I think it would be cool for more people to get into Marvel games, me as well.

It's not about the gameplay, it's about their declared goals for the game. The amount of people who drive by and make a post like this without even knowing what's going on is "bafflnig".

"in the preview it says that teammates can come in at anytime to customize combos. sounds like TAC like combos to me."

You couldn't do TAC combos at any time. It's even in the name: Team Aerial Combos.

No assists...

I mean, I'll give it a shot, but w/o assists, this is not a vs. game.

even if Street Fighter x Tekken didn't die, it wouldn't stop Street Fighter 4

it's either MVCI lives and takes over UMVC3 or MVCI dies and UMVC3 stays

With the port makes it playable on PS4 which makes tournaments easier to run. So that defiantly the outcome its going to be one or the other.

that won't happen unless they patch umvc3 and breathe new life into it. which is why capcom will never patch it.

I'm pretty excited about what we've seen so far. The only that I'm dissapointed about is that the Iron Man and Ryu don't look like they've changed at all from MvC3.

Was hoping for a Hulk Buster hyper move or something, more Iron Man armors to help him out or something along those lines.

Still a long way to go, hoping they aren't carbon copies of the last MvC appearances.

This game looks like like a half assed attempt at an MvC game. I know it's just the first reveal trailer but damn. I'm just not feeling it. Compared to MvC3's first trailer this is just leaving me underwhelmed.

Hmm, I smell a basic newbie combo there.

1, 2, 3, TAG, 1, 2, 3, TAG, LAUNCHER, Air 1, Air 2, SUPER!

So, does this means six buttons? L, M, H, S, TAG, and GEM? The latter two would be on shoulder buttons on a standard controller, of course.
Yeah that's probably the control scheme.

Will MvCI be part of Capcom Cup Tour? That would go a long way towards forcing the game onto the fgc. It would also be another opportunity for Capcom to sell CPT DLC.

Blechhh. The game looks visually boring and flat and the gameplay changes are not what I wanted from a Marvel sequel at all. No assists, 2v2 for the sake of accessibility (for casuals) = no sale. I doubt they'll switch to 3v3 but I hope they at least change their mind on the assist portion sometime between now and next year.
