Game Informer also put up an article. Some highlights:

Infinite’s fights are fought two-on-two and without call-in assist attacks, which might make some series fans a bit skeptical. But the move didn’t occur without a lot of consideration. The team at Capcom considered the decision for a long time before settling on two-versus-two for the sake of accessibility. Although frantic combat is core to the series, Director of Production at Capcom Mike Evans wants more casual fans to be able to jump in without being overwhelmed; in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, each player had to choose three characters from an enormous roster, then choose one of three assists for those characters. In Infinite, you’ll only have to select two characters and one Infinity Stone.

That trade comes with its upsides, even for more seasoned players. For one, you can now instantly swap in characters at any time. You can do this mid-combo, similar to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3’s aerial Team Aerial Combos but faster, and available on the ground as well. Capcom hasn’t nailed down specifics about how often players will be able to swap characters this way, but mentioned the goal is to give combos the freeform feel and endless permutations the series is known for. Having two characters makes this system far more manageable, since players will know for sure which character they’ll be swapping into during their combo, instead of having to memorize their team order.

To expand the number of options further, Capcom has removed the old “X-factor” mechanic from Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and replaced it with six Infinity Stones. This not only hints at some of the potential plot points in the game (since the six stones are a nod to the Infinity Gauntlet), but acts as a way to customize your two-person team. The two Infinity Stones we were shown had "power" and "time" abilities. Power seems to increase the potency of each attack and could potentially offer new super abilities while active, while Time allows players to dodge moves and pull off flurries of punches and kicks, increasing combo potential. Each stone will grant one ability that can be activated at any time, and one stronger ability will be more rare (again, the team has yet to work out the specifics of how they will limit this ability). When I brought up Street Fighter V’s V-System as a potential reference point for Infinity Stones, they instead pointed me toward Capcom Vs. SNK 2’s Groove System.

I don't know what they were thinking
We will see how it turns out

Before you guys say anything:

Marvel 3/SFV/SFIV looked bad at reveal

Ryu's and Iron Man's animations are straight out of MVC3.

I literally don't care about the rest of the game. I only like Marvel 3 because I like team building and assists, I don't care that Marvel characters are flying around. I'm definitely not buying a Marvel vs game without assists.

2v2, no assists, SFxT tag assault bull crap, stiff Injustice tier animations...

They put SFxT in Marvel. Man this is not good at all.

They will probably be in looks early as hell and the fact that the 3D models look somewhat modest in terms of polys means they are probably planning on more happening on the screen. Plus no ui yet, MegaMan has no soul in those eyes, Ryu model looks like ass im sure there's a ton left to do.

The Marvel characters look good especially Captain Marvel

Better still buy it if you want Marvel 4 someday

NO need to panic , guys .. this is early footage. They have plenty of time to fix the animation , improve the lightning and so on.

Lots are going to change , just life SF5 changed from reveal to release.

Ryu looks so flat, the lighting on him is constant on his whole model and sticks out like a sore thumb. They will fix that come release, I hope.

Oh man.... you've seen 40 seconds of gameplay and guys are saying its SFxT 2 and no assists hurt the game immeasurably?? Good lord.

animations i know not to worry its this fucking art style thats iffy.

looking mad struggle but by the end of 2017 (when they release it early in february) it should look better.

early February as in 2 months? nah son. Did you see that trailer that graphics is like super duper ultra alpha stage. If that is resembling anything close to final graphics then lol. Sounds like a quick movie tie in game if that's true.

SFV looked pretty butt cheeks when they first showed it. I'm expecting this game to go through the same improvements.

"They put SFxT in Marvel. Man this is not good at all."

They've decided to take influence from a better game than MVC3, this is very good.

SFxT died for the sins of all fighting games and now it bestows its blessing upon MVC Infinite.
