There was an interview a while ago with legendary French actor Richard Bohringer (who was in Jolie's last film) where he talked about Pitt being drunk all the time on set. And he's not the type to make stuff up.
The tabloids have been trying hard to find something that sticks with these two (swinger, scientology, and Margot Robbie rumors).

Not blaming Angelina, despite it coming off that way. To act the way I described Brad to be after reading the report, you have to be an unhappy person. You take that unhappiness and go from mellow to lashing out at those around you very quickly. And the substance issues play into it further by making you a hypocrite, lashing out at others for perceived flaws while you yourself live in denial of your own.
This is all on Brad. I mistakenly had Angelina pegged as the overprotective celeb type that doesn't allow the family to drink out of cups that aren't glass or stainless steel, but that's Glenn Howerton from Always Sunny of all people. Still a shame to see people divorced over an unhappiness-anger issue, as long as its nonviolent. Some people just get that way as they age and don't get the proper treatment to figure out what's really wrong.

It's telling that she seeks just the kids and no financial support, would support the claim for the divorce. Besides Jolie has been devoting more and more effort to humanitarian relief so I can see why this would clash with brads lifestyle. Never thought I'll see the day though, 12 years is long in Hollywood time.
I mean it's not like she needs the money. She can act, she does directing, she does humanitarian work in addition to focusing on her kids. What good would fleecing him for the money do? Especially since only like 2 of the kids is theirs? The rest were adopted by her while they were getting up to being married.
You are aware that you don't know either of them, right? It's kinda weird how you are constructing the personality of these two people in detail.
She doesn't need the money, sure, but if you consider how Amber Heard/Johnny Depp went down, and how even Jennifer Garner/Ben Affleck went down, I think Jolie making the decision not to make the divorce acrimonious on the financial side says quite a lot about her.
I think this is mostly fueled by her drastically different public image than her just being a woman and women are party poopers. She was known to be a pretty odd and out there person back in the 90s when she was with Billy Bob, blood vial, kissing brother, etc. And in recent years she's appeared to be quite the opposite, very prim and proper looking now, quite regal really, no longer in the public eye for weird things, but really just when concerning her activism, though more for mastectomy a little while ago it seems. She's really not acting much and seemingly focusing more on directing serious dramas. It's not a surprise some people think she's become more strict and conservative.
Meanwhile Brad has always been pretty low key in the public eye/rumor mill and his public image and film career and roles haven't really changed all that much throughout. Still has lots of serious drama roles with a few more lighthearted ones here and there. Not really much to grab on to with him, so it's easy to see him as laid back, though he might not be depending on you read into this.
