Hard to judge from a single screenshot but that looks more like what I'd expect a remaster to look like than a sequel. Wouldn't say no to one of those.

I am supried no one has ever tried porting the RDR map into GTA on PC.


Before GTAV was released on PC some people found a way to import the map from 360 into GTA4 PC and it was weird and kinda broken

Rockstar doesn't need E3 to announce their games.
That's for sure They announce things when they feel ready.
But since GTAV was released in 2013, maybe E3 2016 will coincide with their next ''right moment''.

Hmm not sure what to think about the screenshot. It seems more like an early screen from the new game and it doesn't seem to be any place in RDR. I'm honestly more for a sequel than a remaster given RDR still looks and plays great on 360.

If they have something to announce and it's E3 time...they'll announce it. Just some of the announcements they have had in the past at E3:

• They showcased an early PS3 tech demo that was called the "Old West" demo and became Red Dead Redemption at E3 in 2005.
• Grand Theft Auto IV was announced at Microsoft's E3 conference in 2006.
• At E3 2007 a new trailer for GTAIV debuted with a release date as well as details about the Xbox 360 getting exclusive episodic content first.
• At E3 in 2009 Agent was announced as a PS3 exclusive title.
• Grand Theft Auto V remaster for PS4 was announced during Sony's conference at E3 2014.

Interestingly for Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar Games had the press in New York to see and try the game just prior to E3 so there were a bunch of Pre-E3 news and previews for the game along with the debut trailer.

How is it that in every red dead 3 thread I go into I have to remind everyone that Red Dead Redemption was already a sequel.

I never understood that. There was no concrete proof that the code was a mess. It's more of a saying being passed down to others. Besides that email to The Benz by Sam, all he stated was that he had issues with the camera angles. And another article by an ex-Rockstar employee stating that there was no intentions for PC release because of licensing issues. I'm not doubting, I just need full evidence that the code was a mess.

RDR was such a great looking game. I can't imagine how good a remaster would look on better hardware. Hopefully a PC version too.

What I would love to see is both though. A remaster for the fall and then RDR 2 for the following year.

i know it's not a new game, but wasn't the ps4/Xbox one versions of gta v announced at e3?

those were essentially a remaster without the remaster tag. i could see a RDR remaster on the Sony stage or something

Oh yeah, meant to say that. I didn't want to overstate the RSC copies but a couple million on top sounds about right.

Rockstar is pretty secretive about their development process but the story about he game being a mess and some developer quote that it is "held together by duct tape" predates the Beanies trial but has been strongly corroborated by the Benzies affidavit.

Further evidence is that Rockstar has released nearly every game on pc and there has been huge demand for this but they've held off for half a decade

We'll never get hard evidence why it's taken 6 years or never, but there are multiple corroborating stories that seem to match up.

As much as I'd like it, I don't know if RDR will ever happen on PC. Rockstar once said PC isn't a viable platform for the game. Why they would say this...I have no idea.

We are now entering the second semester of 2016.
