not worth it man.

Don't let hype control your decisions. Just another week, it's not gonna kill ya. Plus that's when everyone will be officially talking about the game anyway.

Yep cancelled the order (well didn't go throught with it), too much guilt. Fuck it!! fmlfml

Guess the impressions will have to do me till the 10th.

Is not neccesary to talk about The Last of Us guys, it's a completely different game with different goals.

...sort of? An intro with an emotional hook, and the title screen itself is the same as TLOU title screen and not like the past four Uncharted title screens, with a simple image and no music. Being developed by the same guys and with obvious elements carried over, I'd say it's more than a fair comparison to make.

I'm not saying these things are bad. Well, apart from the title screen, not a fan of what they did there. I'm just saying there's some obvious comparisons to make.

Definitely sounds better to me then. I dunno, I did the math during TLOU intro real quick and wasn't really affected by it. Not saying that you have to be surprised in order to feel emotional impact, but something about it just didn't work for me at all.

What I think really impressed me with this game is I know to a degree what's coming but it still made an impact.

Can't really say more without getting into spoilers.

Edit: Nah, your expecting the wrong thing. This intro is more akin to UC2 then TLOU. Only reason I brought up TLOU is because I consider that NDs best intro.

My playtime was 56 minutes before I hit the title screen. The intro is long.

What are we considering the intro? Till the opening credits? Because Uncharted's lasts over an hour and TLOU is like 15 minutes. So it's not a fair comparison.

Or are we talking about all the tutorial slow opening sections until the action gets going, that's more even.

Oh and another thing I forgot to mention.

The animations in this game are absolutely the best. But you probably knew that or had a feeling. However, the animations, combined with the TLOU-esque melee system and the contextual animations kicking in alongside the AI helping you...

Good fucking lord, I have never been more impressed with a brawl. Just the seamless way everything blends together.

Holy fuck.

Stop it please, i cant take ti anymore...

A couple things:

1. The gunplay and movement is better than any game I've ever played. It's literally perfect.

2. The Easter Egg that may have been spoiled for some people is simply incredible. I was spoiled and I still loved it--won't say any more but I will say that if you think you were spoiled, you really weren't.

3. This game is paced amazingly well, just incredible.

4. Graphics are jaw-dropping. Never seen anything like it.

Back to the game!

To those that have the game - how destructible are the environments?

That tank chase gameplay trailer showed tons of destruction during melee and gun fights - is all that still in?

So it'll take me about 2 or 3 hours of just staring at the screen in beauty, taking my time and enjoying the sights and sounds...

Maaaan, I'm conflicted. Someone on eBay UK has like 10 copies of the game at £60 each.

I really wish I could verify whether or not they're some of the stolen copies. A £20 premium to have it a week or so in advance...

Only a 20 premium you can bet those are the stolen ones.

Around here in the US they are going for over $100.

Nice!

Hard is the way to go. After TLoU I'm confident that ND has balanced it more around smarter enemies than tissue paper hp bar. Though I might go straight for Crushing to remove those outlines from stealth...

Thumbs up for already gif-ing this.

Sing a song of sixpence that goes...

UK eBay guy has magically conjured another handful of copies up.

Really not sure if they're legit or stolen. Most of the stolen copies are going for £100+ so maybe he just got a supply somewhere.

I am so intrigued by this, must be something ND related, TLOU or Crash i guess? Damn!
Does it happen early in the game? Is it easy to miss?

Ebay guy pulled through, and the game is in my mailbox at home now. Can't wait to get off work at 6:30 to go home and play it! :)

So worth the $100 to get it an entire week early.

wouldn't it make more sense for the stolen ones to be price more cheaper so they can get rid of them faster and since the profit margin is higher they can afford to do so?

I dunno, really. As we approach release the early copies become less and less valuable too. And I fully expect retailers to ship in time for the weekend anyway, so I don't think the markup is worth it.

Yeah I am just going to wait it out. I have release day delivery from Amazon. If it's delayed I am going to freak out though!!!

Looking forward to the review thread.

So... I have 224 screenshots in Uncharted 4 and 10,256 overall. Not including the 8,700 I have on my USB stick. HOW IS MY SHARE BUTTON NOT BROKEN? It's gonna take me weeks to complete UC4 at this rate.

I hope TLOU2 looks like a PS2 game so I'm not compelled to just stand there mashing the share button.

Naughty Dog and Sony`s plot to get more DualShock 4 sales. Make beautiful games so people have broken share buttons.

Do me a favor if you can. PM when you complete it this week, and lemme know if the 'possible ending spoiler' you sent me and I was to read after completing it, was legit. If it was not, I will read it right away to see what it was, lol.

The way I see it, if this guys copies are legit it means stock is arriving at retailers and I'll get a legit early copy soon.

If they aren't then I'm not interested, especially this close.

Do you think the big stores will break street date now that several people are breaking it?

I can't speak for US retail (I assume you're from there given your name) but in the UK a lot of online retailers ship early to guarantee release date delivery, and it often ends up arriving a little earlier than that. Personally, I'm hoping Saturday as that's when Dark Souls 3 was shipped from most places.

Alright screw it. I'm disconnecting the ps4 from my room and connecting up the wii u to tackle my backlog until Uncharted 4 arrives. Which one should I go for first gaf?

Super Mario 3D World
Bayonetta 1 & 2
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
