this is such a bullshit premise for a film. batman doesnt even have any super powers, he is just a regular guy who learned some bruce lee moves.

Spiderman would fare the exact same as Batman would. His super strength and speed are not near enough to even slightly harm Superman. He would have to do just like Batman and go and whip up a kryptonite slushy and some gadgets.

Why is it so hard to grasp that Superman isn't going for a kill or for a win. He is trying to make Batman to stop being a vigilante, to Superman, Batman is some normal guy in a bat suit with a warped sense of justice, not some OP alien that Superman needs to go all out.

The only one taking this seriously is Batman, to Superman Batman is like a kid throwing a tantrum.
 
This movie should just be superman killing batman in the first 5 minutes then Superman joins a goth metal band and spends his downtime chatting to his therapist.
 
Lex Luthor fights Superman all the time and he's a normal man.

Lex and Bruce are the same, one is obsessed with killing Superman, the other is obsessed with his city and a clown.

People ignore that batman is almost just as smart as Lex. Smarter in some feilds actually.

Or they don't know and consider him a man in a bat suit.

Yeah, a billionaire in a world of superpowered beings and advanced alien technology.

If you can accept Superman with all his crazy shit then Batman seems more than plausible.

Well it's not like he wouldn't hear a cacophony of sound at all times no matter what if he listened to everything like when he was a child. But he obviously learned to hear things selectively while ignoring ambient sound he doesn't want to hear. Beyond that, who the hell knows what the limitations are.

Super hearing would be pretty lame though if you couldn't hear selectively. It'd be weird if MCU Daredevil had better hearing abilities than DCEU Superman.

If we were going by physics (I KNOW I KNOW) he probably trained his inner ear muscles to close or open to frequencies (I'm not sure volume comes from frequencies, please correct me if I'm wrong) meaning he'd only listen to the nearest sounds at will, or open his ear to the max (a few miles going by the Ma Kent scene on the farm). We're not sure if he can completely isolate sounds, and I'm going by no until proven contrary, that would mean basically magic.

It wouldn't be weird. Super hearing is all Daredevil has but Superman has super sight as well

Volume is a product of a sound wave's amplitude, frequency deals with pitch.

I dunno if this version of superman's hearing is more on/off mediated but most versions of the character aren't limited in that way, if any at all, as far as I know.

It was probably meant to just end with Kimmel being hurled through space. The Martian bookend was much easier to coordinate and tack on for an extra laugh, and the Oscar dig had the added benefit of making the whole thing seem timely and recent instead something they sat on for a year.

He has 100% control of his hearing and vision. If you whisper superman help across the planet in a city he could hear you. He looks at the particles in the air to see the weather so he can pretend to dress for it. Even with all of this Bruce made a suit in which he could not hear or see him.

In fact his ears are tuned to listen to listen for every time someone says Lex Luthor iirc.

That's the comics version. The MoS version, who is very nerfed, has only shown super hearing two times, and the only time we have to judge the extent of his powers is the kid Clark scene, in which we see he doesn't listen to the other side to the world, but a few meters around him, just very very loud and clear.

When you get to "peak human" things start to get murky, as such limit is not measurable, nor sustainable and totally not attainable by his actions. That's basically a super power writers can play with according to their plot needs.

I keep having to explain that batman is a gold medalist athlete in every event with the intellect of like 10 Hawking's. In a universe of hyper advanced aliens god's and demons. Don't compare him to a regular person like us.

Lol because he's a regular ass dude physically compared to powered heroes. His intellectual capacity is shown to be very possible by other humans most just never get to that level.

Haha yeah we laughed about that when we saw WS too. Especially when he doesn't adjust his aim after Cap uses the shield to ricochet and kill like 2 other grunts.

Comic logic is best logic.
 
As a Batman fanatic I have remained mum and will continue to do so. I didn't even say anything after the Doomsday reveal.

I'll wait until I see the film, then I'll say my peice in the OT.

It happens when a studio is desperate to sell a movie. I wouldn't be surprised if they paid for all of it and Kimmel's staff just did the writing.
