My SE from bestbuy has a little bit of damage on the front corners. Of course since they use those stupid sticks to mark preorders I couldn't ask for one in better shape. It's not bad but you can tell it was packed tight with something else. Good thing I was able to remove the sticker fine. Well except the shiny bit on the Nintendo seal of approval that's gone

I wish they would get rid of the pick up sticker as it is too big. It especially sucks for CE of games they aren't usually shrinkwrapped like regular editions are. Oh well.

To preface, I don't scalp or resell. I do however have great timing, and I work evenings, so I was usually up at those stupid hours when pre-orders would go up. I participate in a bunch of amiibo communities, and our very own amiibogaf Line chat too lol

Lucina I got from Walmart, and I had her entire wave pre-ordered from Amazon UK for about an extra $1 per amiibo after shipping. So I opened the EU one and just kept the other boxed. I also had a third one from Target that I gave to a friend that was also going for a complete collection.

Robin I also got from Amazon UK. When I was at Toys R Us I managed to get the last Robin there (when the woman handing out order slips asked me if I wanted the last one, I happily obliged), and I had one ordered from Walmart. The Walmart one had the box all mangled, but I sent it to a GAF member who was opening all of his and said he didn't care, he just wanted the figure.

I got Ike on his launch day thankfully. I went to Gamestop on Black Friday for the reprint they did of him, so that's how I got a second one of him.

Marth I got on Smash launch, however the recent reprints made him plentiful at Best Buy, so I went for that too.

Does nintendo world do preorders anymore. I remember preordering for the mario kart 8 limited edition at nintendo world but i dont see them doing it anymore.

I was with someone as it was 1 per person. They even limited the exclusive shirt/coin package (one Link and one Mario per person).

I believe I heard rumblings of preorders and that while they didn't get expediated line treatment, that their copies were put aside and safe (as long as they were fully paid off perhaps). I didn't preorder this time though so that's all conjecture.

It's funny, I was on the verge of getting mad and not ordering from best buy anymore. Now with the confirmation and 20 dollars, all is good, and I actually think more of BB now than I did before all of this.

It just shows that communication with your customers is such a huge part of retail. I am pretty sure most of us would have just been happy knowing we were guaranteed a copy of the game.

My local GameStop is now saying they had a glitch in their system that allowed them to prebook far more copies of the SE than what they were allocated. A whole lot of people in our area are apparently screwed, are on a list que'ed up on when they prebooked for priority, and have to wait an indefinite amount of time until extra copies filter down somehow. :/

I'm also still waiting for my SE to ship. I ordered first thing in November and am stuck in "preparing for shipping" since last night.

I received the $20 compensation email tho and customer support told me they're going to ship it today.

As a backup option I also managed to order one of the BB SE on Ebay last night. So far I haven't gotten a cancelation notice but its status isn't changing at all.
