Yeah, agreed. A month delay is a little ridiculous. The least they could do is offer something other than 'sorry for the inconvenience!' If there aren't more copies being made, a month delay probably isn't gonna solve anything.

Gonna call when I can in the morning to see if I can get the shippin bumped up on their behalf because this is silly.

Huh. My Amazon pre-order (from back when it first appeared on Amazon) is preparing to ship still. And I have Amazon prime. Guess I won't be getting it tomorrow.

Thats what mine said last night, now this morning it has shipped but won't be here until Tomorrow. I would have done 1 day shipping to get it today if I needed to but they have the whole prime release day guarantee so I'm contacting customer service, this is bullshit.

Crazy part is the order tracking itself still says 'on time' even though it said on time for delivery by 8PM today. The fuck Amazon.

Edit: Actually thinking I'm going to wait to get the package before I contact amazon just to confirm when it arrives I don't want them telling me it'll still end up being today when I know it won't be.

I'm pretty annoyed but whats going on with best buy orders is bullshit and its not the first time its happened either, I never preorder anything rare there because of it, they always reserve things before they find out exactly how many they're going to have and then people get screwed over like this.

Yeah, changing your order info does turn it into processing. My guess is that BB just got the SE's today (which does happen with Nintendo games) and will ship it using 2 day shipping. So Monday is probably the earliest with Tuesday being the estimate.
Amazon does not even have the regular editions so I think NoA dun goofed.

Sounds like a glitch, maybe an intentional glitch? *dons tinfoil hat* Get people to panic or give up and cancel their orders so they can fulfill overbooked preorders or as some found this morning, put the extra copies on their ebay account without the GCU discount.
Either way its obviously a glitch the way people are "fixing" it and people affected should fix it themselves like described in the thread or call BB right away. Don't wait till March or next week even because their supply won't be available at that point.

Wasn't NoA. My SE from amazon shipped yesterday and per tracking is out for delivery on the ups truck right now for today. Some people had their's from Amazon ship two days ago so they had their stock.

Well, it's giving us a new estimate for Tuesday but we don't know if we're actually going to get them on Tuesday or not.

I'll be giving BB a call once they open their phone support (10AM EST?) so I think we'll find out something then.

I don't think this is Best Buy's fault at this point though. Hasn't anyone noticed the pattern in this thread? Pretty much everyone is having a problem rather than just a few people getting screwed. That seems more like a Nintendo side problem rather than Best Buy. I haven't seen anyone get a ship confirmation yet.

Yeah, they did not allocate enough units for orders because there is zero reason you should not be able to buy Conquest/Birthright alone at Amazon currently.
Gamestop seems to have enough units, but cannot seem to order it at other stores.

I only saw a portion of Amazon orders go through. Some are stuck in processing.
The allocation theory still is valid.

Yeah, they did not allocate enough units for orders because there is zero reason you should not be able to buy Conquest/Birthright alone at Amazon currently.
Gamestop seems to have enough units, but cannot seem to order it at other stores.

Conquest is in stock right now. It won't last through the weekend though. FE games notoriously don't get a large first print, couple with Amazon offering a dscount on preordering along with BB those two places will probably be the first to go out of stock quickly.

My Best Buy order delayed to 3/14 too, I did the update shipping trick, but the order summary date doens't even show up anymore, just shows 11/12 for my order placement date.

If it turns out the supply is Nintendo's fault like with Amiibo, I'll really be pissed. With Amiibo they made some weird excuse about freight shipping to the US being delayed, but I don't imagine how they could make that excuse again.

Quoting myself here but I ended up contacting amazon customer service and now I'm worried and confused.

Me: This item I ordered will not arrive with the prime release day guarantee. It was released today (Friday 2/19) however its not arriving until Saturday 2/20. I would have done one day shipping if I needed to but prime says it guarantees release day delivery if you pick 2 day shipping and that clearly did not happen here. I am not happy and want to know what can be done about this to make sure this doesn't happen on any of my other preorders.

If you mean SE's, well regular editions as well, Release Day delivery can be tricky. Sometimes they can get stuck and glitch, just like BB's apparently, and you have to mess with the shipping speed to show back up as release date delivery. There is the possibility people with prime may have not realized this and assumed it was automatically going to be release day delivery without checking beforehand, has happened to me. I don't see amazon having anywhere near the same problem as BB being reported here though.

It could be an issue of the rep "not understanding" the question properly, combined with how the tracking on Amazon is sometimes borked and they're mot allowed to use outside sites to confirm.

So keep an eye out on the tracking. It was shipped and you received a tracking number it should be on the way.

Your order time probably factors into it as well, the computer system prioritizes the earliest ones.

Edit: Try changing some order info for those that got the delay email. The delay email is automatic because they did not have the units on Thursday.
