I wonder how scaling will work in the DZ? I know the DZ changing once you hit 30, but up till then.

Is the DZ split up into sections getting harder and harder (like zones outside the DZ)? Or does the entire DZ scale to to the player (or I should say when you enter, you get put into an appropriate level DZ server.

If the latter, how will groups be handled? What level of the DZ are we in if our group is made up of level 5's and level 25's
Brackets like 1-7, 8-14, 15-20 blabla. The DZ zones show AI level but all players (if I understood) are around your bracket level in the instance.
As for a rank 5 and a rank 25, the rank 5 player can instance over to the 25 players bracket, but not the other way around (25 joining 5).
Level 5 players is probably gonna have a very hard time.

Got it. So the lower level has to play up, at least when engaging in PvP. Thanks.

Yes. In the closed beta there was 4-7 or something and a 8 bracket.
Level 7 and lower could join the 8 bracket instance while in a party with a 8 bracket player, but as a 8 bracket players you could not join -7 bracket players.

It only goes up as far as I know.

Yeah I think thats right. If I remember, if you're like 15 for example, and you go back to DZ1 you don't see any players at the DZ1 level range. I think that's correct.

Thanks for posting.

Great interview and I honestly, for whatever reason, have a lot of faith in Massive. They seem to have their heads in the right place.

Yup same here judging from the patch notes from the latest update and stability of the servers during closed beta. Really cant wait for the open beta this weekend to satisfy my fix.

Is currently on Stage 1: Denial regarding the service game future
I didn't know before that The Division was based off of Operation Dark Winter. Interesting.

As in Destiny’s Crucible, it is going to be a place with a calendar of events and activities.

Color me excited.

Yea it's not there.

It's cool though, i just wanted to know where to locate it but i'll be able to find it when i download it later today.

This is the default [steam] location so unless you've changed it to somewhere else this is where it'll be after downloading it.
any preloaded stuff is stuck in the depotcache folder as .csd files until the thing actually is out

True, patch changed it from play to pre-load now for some reason for me as well.

Its cached until release when it unpacks the files

I'd be in the dick
I saw a tweet saying the beta preload is up on all platforms but when I go to the PSN store there's no download option. Do I need to wait for the store to update later?

Are you sure it's not the beta? I mean, the game won't be out till March, seems strange that they'd let you preload that early.

Not sure tbh?

I pre-ordered the gold edition at the weekend and was met with a 32gb download plus the 'national guard' and 'hazmat' bonuses.

they're in 'my games and apps' as pre-ordered

"Could there be such a thing as a gritty real-world RPG?"

There is, Alpha Protocol.

Bro, don't remind me about Alpha Protocol. Such cool game that deserved sequel, and even main title deserved tad more time in oven. Great stuff.

Don't either of you start. It hurts too much. While deeply flawed on many levels, that game has some of the best dialogue writing and player choice around.

Would love for someone to give that idea (hell, it could be ubisoft with Tom Clancey type games), another go. Spy, RPG, travel around the world in safe houses . . . agents...damnit you guys. Why did you bring this back up?

Do we have a thread for Gaffers exchaging Uplay/Steam Id? Thinking of rolling with a crew for this upcoming test on pc.

None of my real life friends are interested in this game somehow.
