I searched and had received it when I preordered. Search your emails.

Now I am waiting for the code from Ubi.
I think you can just go to your uplay account and grab your code from there. I thinks it's under settings there is a tab called beta.

Sorry account management under that its beta access.

question: is waiting almost a month for a playasia/ems package all that unusual? (tracking indicates it arrived in canada jan 2). i know customs can sometimes be this bad about stuff from the u.s...

No, it's pretty much the norm, as far as my experience go. In fact, one month is pretty good for me, lol. I've had a few packages take 2-3 months when they had free shipping. There was also a time when it took like 3 days. Package was pristine, too.

Another comment about Best Buy's Twilight Princess fiasco, Apparently they are still looking into the issue and will update with details soon.

Guess they can't just hope this goes away like the older pre-order price drops from years ago like fable or toad.

I've had a lot of small games sent from Japan this month, almost all arrived to Toronto in less than 10 days!

What fiasco? I have a preorder for the game with them.

& thanks! - i hope you're wrong :) (not sure if it matters, but my package is coming from singapore)...

What type of shipping? I went with the cheapest for Gundam EXVS and got it here (Toronto) in around 3 weeks. Typical fare for the cheapest option I've gone with at other places (CDJapan, amiami) ends up being 2-4 weeks.

the price increase from the original $79.99 to $99.99 just before the 30% off black friday preorder deal then them bringing the price back down and saying nothing will be done.

Oh, that. Yeah, it would be nice if they applied the 30% off to the $80 price, though I wouldn't hold my breath.

FE Fates DLC path is $25 each.

Ahh well, it's still "cheap" considering that $20US is $28CAD

So about $100 for the whole package. They should really cut a deal for people who pick up all three parts. It's not fair that someone has to pay the same amount as the LE because it sold out so quickly.

The only thing we lost is the collector's items. If it makes you feel any better the Japanese version of Revelation is tied to the NNID I think.

Seems like the western LE is getting the bigger end of the deal since Revelation seems to be an actual on cart game instead of locked behind a digital license.

Re: Let's Talk, there was an interview a few years back with the woman who runs the campaign.

I think they're pretty transparent about the motivation being brand related. But quite rightly, the topic could be anything. Mental health -- especially when they launched the campaign -- maybe wasn't the easiest sell. It could be funding children's hockey, giving homeless people Christmas miracles or saving cuddly animals.

It would be much easier to wrap themselves in the flag or promote other feel-good stories. Certainly there's still self promotion in the form of "hey, we're giving a shitload of money to this problem," but while the logo is there on every ad for sure, there's more substance to most of the ads I've seen than just "BELLBELLBELL" and to me that's more than I'd expect from most companies.

That's the thing. The LE gets all these other stiff for the same price. Oh, and I have the LE preordered. I was speaking in general since I don't like how Nintendo is releasing this.

After going through finding a copy of Awakening I just hope I can pick up my copy of Conquest without any hiccups.

Yeah, I hope they could be more transparent, like how buying both Birthright and Conquest physically will run into interactivity issues because the two games cannot recognize each other, while Gamestop/EB is pushing that dual physical "deal"

amiami is requesting payment for the kirby nendroid, but now i no longer have the money to pay it

Maybe you can sell it to someone else? I've seen people "pass" their Amiami preorder to other people to avoid being blacklisted (because if you don't pay too many times they will ban your account... ) ...

I canceled orders many times a few years ago. If you're polite they won't ban you.

I don't know about now.

Oh wow. How did you do that? Just emailed them nicely?

I know when they kept delaying the Lucina figma, when it finally came out, I almost didn't want it anymore....

I don't really use amiami that much, and I've managed to cancel two orders without any problems. But I did it before they requested payment in both cases, so that might have made a difference.

... since I have a BB Desjardins card, maybe I'll do three months financing on the FEFates n3DS XL <_<
$90/mo ain't too bad...

I literally just finished off paying a much more expensive three months as of tomorrow...

I would've thought Singapore would've been faster than Japan, being a dense concentrated city-state :) I know my Japan's games come from all over, not just Tokyo

Regular mail, no tracking number. In fact, three games I received yesterday were only seven business days!

That said, in December, it was taking between 25 and 30 days to arrive. Last year around October, around 15 days.

I have had only two packages arrive registered mail from Japan, and both took almost a month to arrive. So I actively avoid that option.

Well the first time I did it I lost my job, so I said I lost my job I can't pay for it.

I'm very polite and said stuff like "sorry for any inconvenience this may cause".

Other times I said the final product did not look the same so I would like to cancel, and still remain polite.

I barely import stuff now, it's too expensive and the prices keep going up and up. I do once in a while though.

I preordered the Cordelia statue from FE though.

My favourite is HLJ, it's easy to cancel and you don't realy need to stress out. I still use similar excuses and am still polite, but never have problems. They're great except their order combining process when stuff is already packed and ready, can't add items.

That's not the ads I've seen. It's a giant Bell logo, the hashtag, Howie Mandel and 5 cents per X for mental health isn't even on screen long enough to read.

Yeah, when I saw the posts on my news feed I was wondering why suddenly I'm bombarded with Bell ads. Took me a double take to realize the metal health message.

I got a question for the Canadians with Teksavvy. I was wondering if anyone has any experience calling them to try to get a deal better than what's offered.

I wanted to go up to their 30/5Mbps internet in preparation for Street Fighter 5, but I was wondering if I'd be wasting my time calling them to try to get a better deal. They're already pretty cheap.

I'd be surprised if it worked, they know that you don't exactly have much options for better value out there.

Plus, they're a small company who is trying to offer better value than the big 3, I'd just support them ;)

What deal to they have now for what you want?

If they are already cheaper than the competition, what are you going to use as your excuse to leave? Unless it is service related, in which case all you can do is call and see what they say.

Question for people with old preorders at FutureShop.

I forgot that I have a few left (The Division and Kingdom Hearts 3), however, I cannot seem to access them anymore since the website is gone. I checked on BestBuy and I cannot find the orders.

I assume they are still valid or did I miss something where I was supposed to transfer this over? I actually don't recall how much they were anymore and I don't have records to dispute the cost if I need to.

Thanks!

Nope. They are tied to whatever rates and services Bell/Rogers give. So they can't really give deals.

I don't know if it's still active, but they used to give $1 off your monthly bill for every person you referred to them.

I had a Zelda Wii U order at Futureshop that I couldn't find on BestBuy and I called them. They said the order had been cancelled on Dec 25 2015 and that an email had been sent out to me. I didn't receive anything. Said it was cancelled for good :(

I'm on an older 18 / 0.5Mbps deal, which is the exact same price as their 15 / 1Mbps offering. Maybe I should switch to get that extra bit of upload. Could be useful for gaming.

Their 30/5Mbps package is $10 more then what I pay right now. Not bank breaking I know.

Best Buy is handling them now. You must've got initial emails confirming what you ordered and the price, right?

Just call up Best Buy, they can probably look it up and make sure you are getting updates about it. I get emails every month or so about my preorders.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to view your orders on best buys site...
Weird they uses to have a page on the bestbuy site dedicated for futureshop orders now it just takes you to a error page..

I do get those emails as well, so I assume it is active, it just seems odd that I cannot manage it myself.

I just found my email and I cannot believe that the preorders were from June 2013.
