Pokken is on Amazon for $75.

Please tell me somewhere will have it for cheaper than that ; _ ;
No way in hell I'm paying that. Even if they balance it before release, the roster is anemic and it ain't even 60 FPS in local multi. Mega pass.

Got the Bravely Second LE. Hope it's good. EvilMario told me you can really tune the battles so you don't have to spend a tonne of time grinding (turned me off from the first game, in the demo) so I'm excited to give it another shot, now knowing that info.

yeah there's very few games I'd pay that much for, Pokken doesn't make the cut.

but Evo hype is getting to me. god damn this game would have been PERFECT at $40 with E3 deals :(

It's funny, Fire Emblem's SE comes with basically 50 dollars worth of DLC... the Bravely SE is more expensive and just comes with an artbook and a CD? Yikes.

The case of Fire Emblem Fates SE is that it's the same as buying a physical copy and the other two routes digitally, but you get an artbook (should be the same as the Japanese SE one) and 3DS pouch. The major thing is that it's all the routes on one cart (which has obvious appeal).

Bravely Second SE comes with the soundtrack selection and a hefty artbook (250 pages which is going for $35-36ish right now). They dropped the ball when they didn't include the chibi Agnes figure.

Why do I want to pay $109.99 for a $39.99 game GAF?

Embrace your new $49.99 3DS game overlords.

That was a core mechanic of the first game too. There are sliders available to you all the time that let you choose battle frequency and difficulty.

The FE Fates SE is a pretty great deal. I would have bought it even if it didn't come with an art book or pouch.

Incidentally FE Fates SE is $80 US, $100 CA
Bravely Second SE is $70 US, $110 CA

figure that one out...

Apparently the Bravely Second has a 250 page Art book, still not worth it but hey it's out on April, I can cancel anytime LOL.

Is it normal for CEs to be put up before regular editions?

Random really, sometimes the regular ed comes first and other times both are up for preorder at the same time.

What I'll do is get the library to buy it to at least try the online around EVO time. There is like a 100% chance they will get it because it's T rated and it's Pokemon.
