Just received my code and it worked! Too bad they're now OOS, I would have gladly bought a couple more.
 
Are there any retailer policies in Ontario in regards to selling open box items?

There is something at a Toys R Us I want to get but its a returned item and has been open but is being sold at regular price.

Can stores do that or do they have to offer a discount because it's an open box and not technically new?

I think they can do whatever they want. They just have to tell you it's open box.
 
New discounts have popped up on PS Store, Parasite Eve II is 3 bucks! No PS+ discount yet... those usually pop up at some point right?

Yeah, around now is the time when the store starts updating in the background.

Wait until they apply PS+ discounts if they haven't already.

Usually by 3pm - 4pm EST it's done.

I think as long as we expect retailers to take returns on items that have been opened, but still in new condition, I would expect that those same retailers would be able to sell the item as new.

I know I did. I was almost worried it was a pricing error, so I just clicked "buy" first thing this morning before I left work. Should be ready when I get home tonight. Very excited to play something a little more intellectually stimulating.

Hey man just wanted to thank you again. Snagged a Nikon camera for 40$, and a DxRacer chair for 320$!!! Had my eye on one for ages, just assembled it.

Also got some Kate Spade stuff for my lady, wicked wicked site. I've actually never bid on anything before so that whole process is new to me, and I lost my first few but I think I got the hang of it.

That being said if anyone else wants an invite I'll pay it forward just PM me

Question for those adults out there:

I have to upgrade my Scotia account since I'm 19 now. Whats a balance fee waiver? For example, its saying "3,500 minimum balance fee waiver" for the suggested account. I don't know what that means lol.

If you maintain a minimum balance of $3500 for the duration of the month, they will wave the monthly fee.

I think it means if you are above a certain balance your banking fees are waived. I see something like that on my statement every month. They charge me $40 and then immediately credit it.

Please note that if you drop below the minimum balance amount for a split second any time during the mount these fee will be charged.

ie: If you have a balance of 4000$ and you spend 501$ and get paid 2 hours after 500$, meaning your balance does 4000$->3499$->3999$, the monthly balance fees balance WILL be charged.

You can get the lowest one if you want. $2500 minimum balance with 25(?) transactions a month.

Wait so is the charge a once a month thing, or literally every time you dip below the balance?

Once a month. He's implying that it will review the entire month when determining if you are to be charged your fee. Not just when the charge occurs. If your balance never goes below $3500 then no fees.

Your best bet is either

A) Switch to someone with free debit card banking like PC.
B) Switch to their lowest monthly fee Checking account($4/month Basic with 12 transactions/month) and put EVERYTHING on your credit card and just pay that off every month(Note direct deposits don't count as tranactions, only atm/merchant/teller transactions).
C) If you're going to Uni/College ask about a Student account

B) is theoretically the best bet, but not everyone is disciplined and interest will kill you. Only do that if you really truly know yourself. I speak from experience, lol.
