Actually, $44.99 doesn't seem that bad for it but it's still rough considering the $29.99 US Price point.
Yeah, I always figured games under $40 would always be safe from mark-ups like that and stay the same price. It's been that way (for the most part) until now. I figured wrong!

I actually think $45 for valkyria chronicles is still a good price, but the fact that we're paying $15 more than the US still sucks.
I agree. $30 is a steal, $45 is fair.
While we hope for deals from actual sources, there are a couple of people selling $20 eshop cards for $15 on ebay.

That's what I've been trying to figure out.
I bought a few codes back in December, then they seemed to have gone out of stock and now they're back. That's all I know, although all the codes I've used have worked.

Usually ~decent~, they will most likely ship it tonight at 8 pm or so, so if you're in a zone that takes 1 business day from Mississauga, you should get it tomorrow.
Isn't Amazon Canada the only company who has even hinted at Gravity Rush getting a Canadian retail release? It was announced as digital-only and then dude on Twitter confirmed a US retail release. I haven't seen Canada mentioned at all.

My amazon app is showing a price now (29.99), which I didn't before but still say unavailable when I click into it. Some time the app confuses itself with different region but a change could be a sign of something is going up.
I'll believe it when I see it, especially considering there's less than a week to release
same, if it doesn't go up by friday, I will order it on PSN.
With the odds of Bayonetta + Corrin DLC coming up to $20, I might bite on this.

They don't charge tax on eShop cards and the like. They charge tax (or not in the case of PSN) for the item you might use the card for. The last time I bought an eShop card was when the Wii U and 3DS wallets were separated and I didn't see tax on the receipt.
