Regarding the bridge, how does people travel across Canada before it was constructed? Didn't the news say the construction has just been finished not that long ago?

Whenever I told people in Toronto that I was from north west Ontario (almost at the Manitoba border) they would say "Oh, Barrie?"

They wouldn't believe me when I told them it was a 23 hour drive to my town.

For someone from Toronto, it does seem pretty hard to believe that it takes as long to drive to the Manitoba border as it does to drive to freaking Miami :lol

When I first moved to Toronto and people said "I'm going up North" I figured they were going to Moosonee or something. They were talking about Newmarket though. My idea of "North" is still totally different and I've been here 20 years now lol.

I've only ever gone as far as Winnipeg from Vancouver via car. Toronto has always been by plane >.> Have gone to Montreal from Toronto by road as well. One day I'd like to visit east of Montreal. Trans Canada Highway from 0 to 0 is on my bucket list!

I remember when I said I was going "down to Seattle" and my American friends saying how it was weird to hear Seattle being down for anyone.

It's so great. I've done from Vancouver to Quebec City by car. Rode with a trucker from Van to Winnipeg, so many great sights.

Drive Winnipeg to Quebec at least once a year. My wife is from there. Need to go all the way to the East coast sometime.

Anyone know where/if it's possible to pick up the AC Happy Home Designer n3DS bundle? I'm on mobile and places like EB, Walmart, The Source and Best Buy all appear to be out of stock. Amazon only has resellers at $400.

Want to grab the small n3DS before FE Fates comes out next month.

Chapters has it online.

Regarding the broken bridge, I find it kind of amusing that "Northern Ontario" sits south of pretty much every major city west of that province.
Well, the southern most part of Ontario is approximately the same latitude as northern California, so it makes sense that our "north" is southern for the rest of Canada.

Also, for many Torontonians everything is relative to Toronto... being the center of the universe and all.

I learned that when I first moved down to the city. I grew up between Lindsay and Little Britain. About an hour north and an hour east of Toronto. 2 hour drive in total.

Ive learned to just tell people here I come from the "North"

Anyone know of any deals on Last of Us Remastered? Or does anyone have a code they're willing to part with for $25?

Have you called local indie game stores? Or even checked BB used game section?

Seen TLOU remastered multiple times at indie stores (in the GTA) for under $30.

There aren't a whole lot of indie stores around me, and BB's used price is $45. It goes on sale sporadically, and I'm in no real huge rush.

That Dell PS4 is still sitting in processing for me, ahh agony. I think it's still good to go though as I don't think anyone who got the confirmation has had it cancelled still?

Where is everyone elses sitting? I know at least one person in the last few pages had a shipped notification.

Mine shipped 3 days ago.

Most in DT Toronto don't care about anything north of Bloor. Everyone else in Toronto doesn't care about anything north of HWY 7. :P

I'll always remember a similar anecdote but regarding Montreal.

A collegue a at previous job wanted to meet a girl that he was chatting with online and asked me if Lavaltrie was far from downtown Montreal.

Lavaltrie is at least one-hour drive and isn't on the island

I said that it was, he had to drive east on the 40 for a good while and that's where he asked me: "Oh, it's farther than Pointe-Aux-Trembles?" (which is east but still on the island).

I couldn't help but laugh and explained why. He said "Oh..." but he still went anyways.

I have a digital code for uncharted collection unused. Is there any place that would trade it in for a physical copy or some type of credit?

There's a bunch of that fun here too.

West Side Vancouver, the western half of the city.
West End Vancouver, the neighbourhood at the red marker.
West Vancouver, a separate municipality north of Vancouver.

Here in KW Weber and King Streets cross each other 3 times and are each labeled North, South, East, and West for stretches despite basically traveling in the same direction the entire way.

Now that a majority of Greater Montreal's population lives outside of the island, Montrealers will have to adapt. By the way, Lavaltrie is just under an hour away from downtown. I'm from the North Shore myself so I know. When I tell Montrealers about this, they think I live next to ski resorts. I live 5 minutes away from Laval and an hour away from the mountains.

What's it say your ETA is? Mine still says wednesday, but if it doesn't moved from processing to shipped today I don't see it happening.

It changed from Wednesday to "Order Shipped", but according to the tracking details the package left Toronto the 8th and it's currently "on vehicle for delivery" as of this morning.

I might get it tomorrow I think.

I've only done the Trans-Canada from Ontario all the way to the Pacific but I definitely recommend it. Only way to get to know this country. Northern Ontario gets a bit boring since there are so few major stops on the highway and little change in geography, but it's still a must see. Now I need to do the eastern half. If I can handle northern Ontario and Saskatchewan, I'm not too daunted.

I've also done the Yellowhead from Winnipeg to Jasper. I sort of want to do the remaining depressing B.C. part but I have no business up there.

I'm also reading quite a number of people online got their shipments (for other things) from Dell *while* the website still said in production, even still saying it after delivery, lol. So, now we're playing fast and loose and it really could be any day this week.

So now I don't know which day to modulate my excitement for! Dat kid on christmas feel.

We've reached a point where buying games on steam is cheaper than buying vegetables in Canada. They weren't kidding with price hike on food. Holy hell I saw cauliflower for 7$ and broccoli for 4.50$ today when buying groceries.

That's the first thing I noticed when moving here in September. I don't know how you guys do but the price of food is pretty expensive.

I don't think I had ever bought Cauliflower before in my life before last week. I bought two heads, and they came up at $6 each, I was blown away! I thought to myself "has cauliflower always been like this, is it expensive?"

I was right pissed, haha.

Cauliflower and Broccoli aren't in season and are water hungry veggies mostly grown in California when out of season for us. Between their drought, a recent spate of unusually cold weather in California (due to el nino probably) and our currency of course those would be expensive.

Just be careful with what you buy. Canadian grown root veggies that keep well this time of year are still cheap. I also found some cabbage for pretty cheap when I was looking yesterday. Other than that try to stick to what's in season.

No this isn't normal, even for this time of year. Especially during the fall harvest season cauliflower is crazy cheap.

Edit: It's not even just us, it's expensive in the states right now too.

I'm not buying them for that price for sure :). I mean I've been doing groceries for years and never saw something this bad in and off season. It's not only vegetables though. My local IGA now have those anti-theft devices on steaks you find on clothes in clothing store since a good 2-3 months ago. Some go even to 30$ this is ridiculous haha.

Do you shop at Whole Foods? Lol

seriously tho, that's nuts. My personal ceiling for what I'm willing to pay for cauliflower is $2.50.

I walked down the beef isle, saw the prices and went and bought myself some chicken. I can stop eating beef.

I lived there for a while (and have family who still do) and always thought that was funny.

Hey guys, now that I have a new Xbone controller with the audio jack, is there a decent headset I can get that can be used on both my Xbone and PS4?

can anyone recommend any ''VR'' headsets that work with an iPhone 6 Plus, I just want to watch videos and light gaming. I've seen models go from like 20$ to 100$.

I like the Playstation Gold headset, cheap, can plug into Xbox One controller and go wireless with PS4

I love my Gold so far as well but people have complained about durability with it.

Seriously that street makes no sense. I remember living there and not being able to use Weber & King as a place to meet.

I love the Gold headphones but I've had two pairs break now. The second which Sony mailed to me is still usable for now but the tiny blue bits holding the band together have broken off.

They are paved wagon trails. That's they go all over the place.
