Best Buy is having a sale on some routers today.

Does anyone have a recommendation? I'm in the market for one, currently using a horrible router-modem combo that Rogers provided and I'm constantly getting disconnects on my consoles. On the worst days even my phone can have trouble getting a good connection in the tiny apartment I'm in right now.

Small apartment? Apple Airport Express router. Under $100. Small, cool, simple.

The app to setup is simple too.

Ah, should have probably mentioned my budget.
I was thinking to cap at $150 but if Nighthawk is definitely worth it then I could probably bump up to it. But if I’m jumping up to $180, would it be worth it to go for Archer AC3200? It seems to be much more expensive but I’m not sure if the heavy discount is because it’s a bad router or if it’s just a good deal. Which one is the Archer C7? I can’t find it on the page.

BB may not have it but Amazon canada has it on sale for 90

Great router out of box and very DD-WRT friendly

Of course the Nighthawk and the other one are certainly upgrades if you're looking for beef.

That's Amazon.com =P
I just checked and Amazon.ca has it but it's only like a $5 sale. If Nighthawk really is that good then I think I'll lock in for that one. I looked at the Apple Air Express and it definitely is tempting at that price point but I'll look at the Nighthawk as an investment for when I (hopefully) move into a larger place.

Edit: Huh. Looks like Amazon.ca has the Nighthawk on sale for $150. Guess I found my router, thanks guys!

Last time everyone was sure something inexplicably expensive in Canada was just a placeholder price...

This might be the case. Amazon.ca is the most unreliable piece of shit ever for telling you what the actual price is.

Still, doesn't matter, I'm probably not buying anything except food for quite some time.

It's just a number Amazon pulled out of their butt.

No way PSVR well cost anywhere near that, it's price should be well below the Rift's.

I'd hope so if Sony wants this to do well here in Canada. Speaking as someone who is not that into Virtual Reality, my interest in VR would completely fade if the price ended up being that high. I'd imagine it would be the same with the average consumer.

We'll see what happens though.

Wait, what will happen if amazon has to fix the price? I might jump in on this with you guys.

It'll get fixed to the right price eventually. But in adjusting it if they ever drop it to less than MSRP you'll get that price.

It's how a bunch of people got Xenoblade X for like $17 on release.

It's also how you could get like a 50% discount on Madcatz arcade sticks when they botched that price when putting them up. Price errors are not common, but they sure are super damn random.
Cool, will pre-order and hopefully remember...

Thinking it's all a precautionary price. No way it sells for that much. But after the fightstick price error, it's not surprising that amazon is pricing pre-orders on the high end. They can always adjust the price down post sale. They can't adjust the price up.

Damn it, I wish I was in time to preorder. In hopes for some weird pricedrops when they were gonna adjust it to the actual price.

Like I said in the other thread, it's most likely a bundle price.

$399 USD - PS4
$399 USD - PSVR

$798 USD

$798 USD = $1123 CAD

Amazon had it for $1125 CAD

I am calling it. PSVR is $399 USD.
