Still waiting on that physical version of Gravity Rush Remastered in Canada. Not even VGP has it. :/

I don't want to import it from the US, especially given the USD --> CDN exchange...

It's embarrassing the way that Sony has handled Gravity Rush, like I want to give them my money and they have to make it so difficult first with no physical release and now no Canadian release. Disgusting from a first party especially.

When does it release? Amazon.ca might end up getting it (I really hope) closer to release date.

Gravity Rush Remastered isn't being released in Canada at all? What?

Is this like Fizzy for Xbox One not being on the Canadian store because of localization? A lack of funds, I mean.

Wow that's some BS. I don't have a PS4 but I sure hope that isn't some ill omen of things to come

I'm sure it'll be on PSN

Uh, that doesn't sound right. Is there a source for GR Remastered not coming to Canada in any form? I thought one of the previous comments was referring to how there was once no physical release planned for North America, and then the U.S. got one but Canada still doesn't have physical. I can't see any good reason why Sony would restrict Canada from getting it on PSN.

oh the crossover fanservice is as strong as ever.

just the other kind of fanservice that makes a lot of people uncomfortable is mostly gone

Ah well whatever. I'd care about it in 90% of cases, but the "Ryu does Shoryu FADC Ultra as a canned animation" kind of fan service just completely overshadows that, so it's all good for me.

Also this GR Remaster business is malarkey. I actually went and bought the original after playing through it with PS+, the PS4 version needs to go in my library.

Gravity Rush is a first party Sony game with a big budget sequel also coming to the PS4 soon. There is absolutely no need to even speculate about it not getting a PSN release in Canada because it will get one.

It's not impossible that we will have to import physical copies though since initially it was planned to be digital-only in all of North America.

I'm getting it. Pretty stoked.

I didn't pick up Rune Factory 4 when it was on sale on the eShop recently, hoping PPLC will hit those beats.

Oh man, you're missing out! RF4 is pretty great, and I even enjoy the farming more than SoS since it's more faster paced.

I was looking for clarification on an above comment. I assumed it was coming at least via PSN, but was hoping for physical.

That sucks. I want a physical copy of Gravity Rush Remastered.

Has there ever been other situations where we didn't get a physical release even though Americans did?

Disgusting is such a hyperbole

i was excited about getting gravity rush remastered too , i was willing to buy it day 1 with a physical release..looks like i have to import that along with Devil may cry 4 special edition some time this year

i just hate that NA seems to get a bunch of Digital only releases every now and then

Update on that Trails of Cold Steel shipment: Bestbuy decided to refund the price I paid so I went ahead and ordered the game again and got them to have it match the price I had it before.

The email they sent me said something about charging me if the game did end up coming to my doorstep (it's in Canada Post's hands now) but I'm of the mind that they simply never sent it and just made a shipping label in advance....

I don't know where people are getting that it's not going to release on PSN here, that's a given. It's the physical copy that is the problem

I disagree, are you saying it's not disgusting that a first party seemingly can't release a game physically here for a first party franchise when they are doing so in almost every other country? Come on

/StorytellingGAF

Just got billed for a month of EA Access when I haven't had it since November and my sub is set to not auto-renew.

It turns out that canceling auto-renew the same day it's set to renew causes issues. They couldn't receive payment in December since I had auto-renew off but somehow in their system they still had it set that I had EA Access. They tried to charge me again today for the December sub that I didn't even know I had and were successful somehow even though I was still set to not auto-renew.

I got refunded after talking things through with chat. So I guess the moral of the story is cancel that shit the day before rather than on the day of renewal lol. I do like how I was told they would refund me "this one time" as if it was them doing me a huge favour though.

I have a question that relates to this thread only by the Canadian dollar. Earlier this year I booked a cruise, but it might turn out that I have to cancel it. If the dollar is stronger by the time I cancel (compared to when I booked it) would I technically 'profit' from the refund?

I have no idea what I'm talking about.

It already is and its $30 there, if there's a retail version it likely won't be.
Given that it'd cost 60 to buy it from Amazon.com, this is a no brainer I guess.

If you paid in USD and it outweighs any fees that your bank charged to convert to USD, then sure.
It would be the same as if you had a USD bank account - it's suddenly worth 30% more in Canada.

But chances are the dollar is going down, not up.

Ugh, I forgot to call them again. I'll probably do it on Monday I guess.

I wouldn't call it disgusting if their internal sales projections show that it wouldn't be with their while to print new bilingual covers for this region. I am willing to bet if they didn't have to do any extra work with packaging, we'd see a Canadian release as well.

Does EB and/or Best Buy accept French copies of games for trades? I'm assuming they do if you're residing in a french province, but what about other provinces? I have 2 copies of a french game I was hoping would be french packaging but still have English dialogue. Turns out that's not the case. Be a shame to just throw these in the trash.

Was told they can't accept it for trade as it is rated PEGI and not ESRB. Guess these will turn into coasters!

Is the Crew: Complete Edition a good deal at 34.99 on PSN? I got around 25 PSN credit after pre-ordering Gravity Rush and debating if I should spend the extra 10 bucks and pick that up or just get the Mega Man Collection.

Personally, I love the Crew, but you should get Wild Run too!

You can find The Crew for around 14$. It has all the updates and upgrades from Wild Run, that way you'll see if you enjoy the main game enough to get the expansion later on. If you don't really like it, it saves you 20$.

It's $15 on Steam and I'm super tempted too. I worry how hard it is to get new cars and how many are just flatout locked behind DLC. The season pass not coming with Wild Run sounds scummy too, I feel bad for people that bought it day 1.

How easy is it to get new cars or get more money? what's really intriguing me to get this is that I can just drive around.

Money isn't the easiest thing to come by in the late game (I've finished all the story stuff and just sort of noodle around doing challenges) but you get enough to sample most of the cars quite easily. I've been ignoring a lot of the multiplayer stuff, but it's decent too. Wild Run's challenges add a nice bit of ongoing leaderboards to the game.

If you liked either of the Test Drive Unlimited games, I'd say go for The Crew - although if none of the DLC cars appeal to you, just go with the $25 bundle as there's no other difference between the two and it saves you $10.

Ahh, ok thanks. However, I checked out their Facebook page and there's server/connectivity issues so now i'm really not sure if I'll pick it up.

Now that the holidays are over, my wallet didn't suffer much... deals I got :

- Bayonetta 2 and Rare Replay (gifts for friends)
- Megaman Legends on PSN (might try this game on the PSTV in a few weeks since my PSVita is now busted)
- Microsoft Band 2 (Was looking for a good workout watch for a while and got a decent deal on this one)

Deals I'm still hoping to see this year :

- PSVita
- Quality noise-cancelling earbuds
- High-end Office Chair (Steelcase / Herman Miller / etc...)

I'm sorry but if that's true that is completely silly. If someone like Xseed can manage to release games physically here then there is no excuse for a first party to claim they cannot do the same.

This Trails of Cold Steel/Best Buy situation is ridiculous. My tracking information still says "Picked up by Canada Post." I asked for a refund, but I've never really had to deal with Best Buy's customer service before so I don't know if they'll give me one.

They gave me one and all I asked was for them to resend it if possible. I guess they did tell me that there's a possibility they won't refund it too but... worth a try?
