Not a gaming deal, but so good:

Gillette gift sets are down from $30 to $12 at Shoppers. Includes their best razor (the flexiball one), 3 refill cartridges, body wash, shaving gel, and a fucking travel case. I think the razor on its own is $10-15 normally? This is a sweet purchase.

Shit, I was just at Shoppers today. Should have looked out, but I was only focused on buying candy. :lol

Is this a price freeze? How long is it going on for?

I disagree with the competitive gaming part, mechanical keyboards are also amazing just for the normal typing experience, coding, annoying sleeping partners, mashing enter when you are angry, etc. The ones marketed are usually targeted towards gamer though (Corsair, Razer, ect), but there are a bunch of non gaming-oriented models (Ducky, Poker, Das Keyboard, Keycool, customs..)

For your question, refurbished should be fine as mechanical switches are made to last for a while.

If you have question about switch types and such, I would direct you to the Wiki from the mechanical keyboard subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/wiki/index, we might even have a mechanical keyboard OT on gaf, I am not sure.

Be careful, this is an expensive hobby if you really get into it!

Ooh! I was wondering why it seemed like there aren't any non-gaming options for mechanical keyboards. Years ago, didn't we normally use mechanical keyboards anyway?

I guess I'll hold off on getting a new keyboard now and buy a mechanical one eventually... I found a membrane keyboard for cheap but was thinking that mechanical keyboards do feel nice.... (Cherry MX Browns seem nice) ....

(And I do have a decent gaming computer to match it with... )

Man I love Amazon...

You had nothing to worry about either way. I've been using the stock cable that comes with the regular edition 598's for a while now with no issues. Unless the esthetics are your main concern.

Has anyone here returned an open gaming headset to bestbuy? I thought nothing of it but noticed in their return policy it says no open headphones accepted for returns.

I thought the logitech G930 was a good deal for 100 bucks but it's terrible in any setting with a lot of intereference, like my condo.

I thought the length of the chord would be bothersome. Yeah I could wrap it, but that wouldn't take care of the bulk. And the 3.5 jack... Typically a company makes that the default end with the larger plug as the adapter. Not sure why they did it that way.

Shiiit, was this a flash sale?

Flash sale for the regular version was a couple of nights back. Bought it. Then thought I would try and see if they'd substitute the regular ones for the SEs instead. The SEs are currently cheaper then the regular ones by $5 so it doesn't exactly look like an upgrade. Talked nicely, and it paid off. I asked if they could add my Evolve game to the order so I wouldn't have to wait on shipping for Evolve since I ordered it with a pre-order to get the free shipping. They went ahead and upgraded the shipping on Evolve. Then when they asked if there was anything else, I asked if they'd be able to upgrade the shipping on the headset also so I that I would get them in time to play with the game...and they did. As I said...I love Amazon.

Jedi Mind Trick.

Question. How good are the Nexxtech AA batteries from TheSource compared to Panasonic's that you can buy at Dollarama?

Are those the infinicell or whatever? I bought a huge box of them a couple of years ago, and well. you get what you pay for pretty much. They don't last very long.

Seriously guys, I bought a handle a year ago for about $12 and a box full of razor blades for another $20 and I'm set for another four years at this rate (ok I don't shave often but still)

Anybody who's still buying razors at retail needs to consider other, cheaper options.

Ok enough personal hygiene talk, back to game deals ;)

Finally decided to jump on the $29 Witcher 3 deal from Amazon.ca and now it's got a shipping date estimation of 1-2 months. Has anyone experienced this before? Should I expect the date to change to something sooner?

Check in with a CS rep. I know the Bayonetta 2 got a later ship date this month. But I believe they legit ran out of stock for that one. In your case though it's possible that they might have some cancellations that would bump your's up.

Ok, I'll contact customer service and see what they have to say. I figured Witcher 3 would be well stocked, so I was pretty surprised to see the late shipping date. Thanks for the response!

That means that they are out of stock. It's nice that they re-order more, but they have no control over the date. Sometimes it's a couple of days, sometimes it's several months, sometime they apologize and cancel they order.

Ok, they must've sold a ton during the sale. I don't mind waiting, but hope they don't cancel the order. It's too good a price to miss out on!

They ran out of stock. It went on sale several days ago. I bought it when it was out of stock on the site and it said they'd update me when it would ship. Two days later they updated their site to what you see now, estimated delivery date of 1-2 months. I am sure some people will receive it sooner, but don't count yourself among them.

I cancelled my order and bought it digitally through PSN for $30. Suggest you do the same unless you prefer physical.
