Dollar slipped another quarter of a cent today. Curious to see if it'll drop below 73 cents US by this time next week.
This time next week? Silly me. I meant to say "tomorrow".

How much longer until oil execs in Alberta start hopping out of skyscrapers?

Wow, this is fucking heartbreaking... I was so damn excited, too.

We're sorry. The item Persona 4: Dancing All Night "Disco Fever Collector's Edition" - PlayStation Vita is no longer available from the seller you selected. To see if it's available from another seller, click here to return to the item's product detail page.

Somehow, even though it said out of stock, I was able to buy one. So maybe you can try a few times.

Just checked again, it's saying they are back ordered but are getting more stock tomorrow to fulfill all other purchases now. The delivery date (for free shipping) is December 18th, apparently!

Is Canada Post tracking broken or is my parcel stuck in limbo? It's supposed to be deliverd today, but its been stuck on Item picked up by Canada Post since Monday.
I'm in the exact same boat. Looks like we'll have to wait and see if it shows up today.

Funny. That was the expected delivery date when they were in stock. (Now that they've shipped they're supposed to arrive on Tuesday though)

My Xenoblade futureshop/best buy order was "successfully delivered to community mailbox or parcel locker."

Aka...to the wrong address.

Should I call Canada Post or Best Buy?

Exact same thing happened to me, had Blops 3, TR, and Xenoblade put it in the wrong mailbox...I called amazon and they resent it.

Just tried that with all of my futureshop orders and it says they arent recognized

Huh, may need to contact them then. My orders are showing fine via this method.
You did use the page I linked right? It's different than BB's standard Order # page (it was linked below their own form's page)

I tried right off the link you gave me, but it's changing back to the regular best buy order history

If you search "Dancing All Night" it still shows $29.99, and then once you add it to cart and go through the normal stuff it mentions a back order and stock coming in, at first, December 12th and now on the 16th. So you might get lucky and you'll catch it!

Lol, guess staying up late isn't always so bad after all. BTW, any ideas as to when Amazon is going to restock the Tomb Raider DE for PS4? I still have the 12.99 order from late November.

Alberta really embraced an overheating economy -- and the problems that creates only exacerbate the fallout now that times are tough.

There will be people well underwater on homes in places like Fort McMurray because demand there has obviously dropped off a cliff. In more diverse centres, things aren't quite so bad, but the rush to grow isn't without consequences.

In the Alberta election, "we can't rely on oil" was a theme from all fronts. But it's not exactly a new songbook politicians are singing from...

(BTW, in case anyone thinks I'm revelling in it, or running up the "Alberta gets what it deserves" flag, I'm not. It totally sucks... that said, I'm just saying I don't think the level of pain there right now is something totally unavoidable.)

No, but capitalism is the tide that all boats head for. Oil was a huge cash cow for awhile, and now Alberta is going through basically the same pain that BC did with Forestry when the NDP shut that whole thing down. Fort McMurray at one point couldn't keep up with growth and became mini SF so I imagine it will be hit the hardest, but trying to reduce oil reliance is not something you can just do with some tax dollars. It will take time for the entire provincial economy to adjust.

I got it too, but I'm holding off redeeming the $50 code until after I've redeemed (and used) all of the $25. The $25 promo is the part that expires in 90 days (after redeeming) so I will make sure to use that first before redeeming the $50 code (which has no expiry).

If you redeem both and have the full balance on your account, I'm not sure how they determine when the promo code is being used.

That was my plan, as well, but I saw on RFD (seems lots of people had this question), this passage from Microsoft's digital commerce terms:

2.4 How do I make purchases at Microsoft stores? You may use your account balance to purchase content at participating Microsoft online stores only. Unexpired promotional balance will be deducted (in order of the most proximate expiration date) from your Microsoft account before any other balance. If you do not have sufficient money in your Microsoft account to complete a transaction, you must use another form of payment ... blahblahblah

I agree... and tax dollars certainly aren't the answer... but I do think Stelmach should've called the industry's bluff and implemented a stronger royalty system at the top end of the oil market. If it had eased the pace of development and investment, I don't know that that would have been the end of the world -- especially from the perspective of Dec. 2015.

The NDP are doing it now, and it's a much tougher environment in which to make those changes. Of course, even tinkering with royalties isn't necessarily going to create any increase in economic diversity.

ICK. Back to back posts :\

Anyone willing to check their local Toys R Us stores for the newest Star Wars Black Series figures?

Han Solo, Jango Fett, Flametrooper and Finn Trooper?

I was able to grab 2 of the 6 that just released but the others were sold out by the time I got there.

I will pay for the items, shipping and has for your troubles.

PM me if you are willing to look! Thanks so much!

According to an e-mail Best buy sent to my futureshop account designated e-mail, December 10, so yesterday, was apparently the last day to access futureshop for anything but order history (which now has to be accessed with order numbers which you were apparently expected to copy down).
