I've had amazon refund me 20% of the purchase price for collector edition sets in the past that didn't come in pristine condition so you might want to contact CS and see if you can get a discounted price

I did contact them and they did give me a partial refund (not 20% holy crap), but my copy of XCX SE from BB that was in shipping hell for quite a while (and I forgot to cancel) finally arrived today, which is why I asked if it's sketchy or not.

looks like i'll have to think about this a bit more.
