Exactly what I do all the time
I had to call up BestBuy a couple times this weekend and before they hook you up to support there's this automated spiel about how due to the high volume of orders that the holidays bring, Canada Post tracking info may be inaccurate.
After four emails saying they couldn't process my Xenoblade I finally got a confirmation this morning. Fingers crossed it shows up soon.

also, my copy of xenoblade X SE from amazon arrived a little banged up. To the regular buyer its almost unnoticeable, but since I do collect, it does irk me a little. Could I get another copy from a different retailer and return the amazon copy to the other retailer?
Yeah, I had the opportunity to get one for $70 and I still passed. The game is totally worth it, but I just couldn`t find any value in the SE offerings.
Not unreasonable to see the cad hit 1.40 usd. If it does, then having 100 dollar games in retail isn't out of the question. That's what we get when we import all our entertainment.
I think most people here have a bigger hope that there will be a price error at amazon rather than seeing the canadian dollar go up.
Yeah, ~$145 increase for the ryu one and ~$135 for the shadaloo.

If you plan to pre-order a game on PSN, better wait until the last few days in case it gets a pre-order sale, right? There is no lowest price guarantee I think?
Lawl, from $204 to $350 is just insane as far as price markup goes.Still, it's an incredible deal when you consider that they are more expansive in USD compared to the incorrect CAD price.
It's a price error, the usd msrp for the ryu one is US$230 vs the amazon one for CA$205. While the shadaloo usd msrp US$200 vs the amazon error for CA$165

Tried to cancel items in my Amazon E3 order and I'm being told it's not possible since items have shipped. Their solution? Refuse delivery. I've been through 5 reps. Anyone had this happened to them?
Try cancelling it on your cellphone.

If it's shipped they don't control it. You can either refuse delivery or return it. I don't see what else is possible?
Amazon ships Xenoblade late and EDF early, apparently. But hey, I got Wednesday off so maybe I can shoot some bugs in between Xenoblade sessions.
Totally keeping both my $40 Futureshop and $15 Amazon orders of Xenoblade, but the $84 one from EBgames is already returned because fuck that.
As for fight sticks, I got a TE2 for 210-something off NCIX a while back. Even that was kinda too much for me but I'm happy with it.

I had X pre-ordered from Best Buy and I'm not sure how the charges worked out. I'm paying $51.40 after taxes; don't know what the original price was and how much a discount was applied. Still undecided on whether I should bother keeping it, since Fallout will own me for at least another two weeks.

Also, I remember when the exchange was considerably worse and disc-based games were still $59.99/$69.99 (first party/third party). What'd they do back then, just eat the loss?

Sorry, I should clarify, Xenoblade and Happy Home Designer have shipped and been received. Everything else is slated to release next year, but they still refuse to cancel the order because those two games have shipped. At first I was told The Division was preparing to ship and that's why, but subsequent reps told me it was because items have shipped previously from the same order.

What happens when you try to cancel yourself? Do you only have 3 items in your order?
In my experience when you cancel any item on an E3 order that has an item that was shipped already, it gives you this error.
The error shows if you have only 3 orders or more than 3 orders.
I also tried canceling an E3 order that hasn't shipped any item and the cancellation goes through without any error.
done it multiple times, but no change in service

Same error I was getting. Canceling through mobile worked even though I've only had 2 of 8 games shipped. Thanks tiijj!

Ya, glad I preordered mine when I did.
I just went through the same problem the past week and a half. CS Chat 5 times and they promised they'd fix it and put in tickets. Nothing got fixed, I was charged and shipped Just Cause 3 which I do not want. So then I phoned Amazon and she figured out the return stuff and said the rest of the order will be cancelled in 3 days. The phone was much more reliable and easy than the online chat.

Even though they're unlikely to go down in price until after the release of SFV, if people are still looking for fight sticks next year I would encourage them to look on weekends when there are major tournaments going on. Mad Catz almost always has sales or discount codes to help cut down on those prices.
its not really amazon though, it's just this driver from CanPost.
like half of the time I get this driver, since we only get 2 different ones in my area. one of them is good since I recognize him and he would actually try to come to the door and see if anyone is home., its the shitty other driver who doesn't even try, and just leaves the notice.
there was one time I even heard the truck pull up to our house, so i was going to go to the door to greet him, and by time i got down the stairs, i could see him already leaving the notice on our stairwell outside and heading back into his truck. i had to run out to tell him to give me my package

Ohhhhh that's why that's happening. I've been wondering for months why some of those E3 orders wouldn't cancel.
If you go into chat with a rep they can cancel it, thankfully.

I see someone said it worked to cancel on mobile. For me, only desktop worked.
My favorite are the guys who lie about attempting a delivery and then don`t even get out of their vehicle to leave the delivery notice card. They just include it with your mail delivery the next day.

Can't believe I missed the fight stick deal.
I'm pretty sure there are a number of people here who ordered both the ryu and shadaloo stick. I think some (or most) of them only wanna pick up one or none at all LOL You'll have a chance to pick it up from them.

When I got my TE2 a couple months back that was also a period where I went "Wow fuck ordering it off Mad Catz website its WAY too expensive on there" and I just got it at a local store. I even thought picking up the TE2 back then was a poor economical choice. I can't believe it somehow worked out in the end just like with the PS4's launch price. Holy FUCK $350 for a fight stick is unbelievable. Thats the price of an Xbox One on Black Friday/Boxing Day

Can't believe I have passed on some great deals because they have said "French version" not knowing the games themselves were in English. I do understand French at an intermediate level at least and I don't mind the cover art being in French but I wanted to play the games themselves in English. Turns out I could have all along.

I know 3.33 isn't great saw it in theatres also imported the japanese version, I just have a problem when it comes to buying Evangelion stuff.

Ugh, such a bad buzz watching that movie, and AnimeGAF had warned me too. 1 was perfect, because it was mostly what we had seen before. 2 was cool since it changed things a bit. 3 however... Praying for the next one to be decent or at least make the time I lost watching 3 worth it, because to this day I still have no idea of what happened for the majority of it.
Anyway, sales.
