Yeah, that's what it looks like. Pretty interesting.
That's kind of why they're changing up his gameplay. Kind of like how comic book characters are shit until a great writer comes along and makes them worth existing.

SFIV made Vega ugly (along with loads of other characters) and I see SFV is stepping up on the ugliness like they did with Ken.
Now it looks like everyone's so-called leak list is bs, and there has only ever been one true Capcom leaker, with others just trying to get attention.

I still don't understand why people keep spouting this. How does Vega nulify Siliconera's rumours again?
I thought her Air throw is in, it's just not implemented in beta build.

He's just another straw on that particular camel's back, though. He himself doesn't really nullify those rumors, but those rumors have been taking body blows ever since they showed up.

No they haven't? When they showed up we had 6 veterans left to reveal, now only the rumoured characters would remain. If they were true we already know the full roster so any reveal moving forward will make or break them but right now nothing has changed

Was hoping for less SF2 characters, but Vega has always been pretty unique and they're doing cool stuff with him so I'll take it.
Just waiting for them to reveal the heavy grappler for the game at this point.

Such a pretty game.
Not sure how I feel about this tbh. On one hand, he looks really cool, but on the other hand, I hate fighting him in SF4. I guess I don't really mind the focus on classic SF2 characters returning, but I'm with others when it comes to really wanting at least Urien and Alex back. I'm also kinda bummed that it's starting to look like the game won't take place after SF3.

Didn't Bogard specifically call out those rumors as being bunk with the inclusion of R. Mika? Basically, the idea is that Siliconera is running with that one leaked list, which already has too many characters on it in the first place.
Right now we have:
Ryu
Ken
Chun-Li
Cammy
Bison
Nash
Necalli
Vega
Birdie
We have Laura, Zen, and Rachid still left to go. Which means in order for Siliconera's rumors to still hold weight, Alex, Urien, R. Mika and Karin are the only players left to be revealed, one of which has been specifically debunked by the same guy who nailed the new mechanism, the name for the new mechanism, and the correct roster number, long before anyone else had any actual information about the game.

This is not true. The things Ken Bogard leaked were the only things he actually knew. The R Mika "debunk" was merely his opinion.

Unexpected but a great addition. I love what they've done with him seems to be a lot more options and less stiff. The roster was also in bad need of another charge character.

The reactions is pretty ridiculous. I have a feeling that green 8 characters meant returning characters from USF4. I guess we might get Zangeif and Juri. For Zangief, he could get in if we don't get grappler newcome on the inital roster.
I think 4 new returning characters are going to be Nash, Birdie, Alex and Urien.
