Always loved Vega's design, but his moveset and the fact that he's a charge character means I automatically suck at him. I just cannot master the art of charging while doing anything else other than walking backwards, or crouching backwards. I really wish SF would adopt the Mortal Kombat style of just tapping back and forward then the button, but I do understand that it'd be tough to get the right moves out without a block button.
I'm still hoping one of the remaining 3 new characters looks interesting to me.

Never been a big Vega player, but he looks really good here.

Original Bogard leak said something about giving the characters names based on the region or something like that, not the actual names of the characters. So, not random, I guess, but not a real attempt at revealing character names.

I'm happy that Vega is in but that announcement trailer was the definition of "underwhelming". Seriously, I just wasn't impressed.

Vega looks so cool. I can't play him but I've always liked him, same with Nash so maybe there's a chance this time??
Also I really hope this doesn't mean we're getting Sagat and Balrog too (I'd take Sagat over remaining SF2 cast, but not Balrog).

Not feeling this choice. I mean it's cool he's been updated but I would've preferred just about any of the other SFII characters; Vega has just never been a very noteworthy character to me. And how about we get an SFIII character in here already

Also now I'm worried fucking Balrog is going to make it in. Well, at least this blows up a lot of the rumored rosters.

No, that's just speculation getting mixed in with what he actually said. He gave three names, and then he gave three locations, and then fans started trying to logically match names to locations. As people kept relaying the rumor to each other, people started attributing the fan guesses to Bogard himself.
Bogard never said that the three names matched up to the three locations, and he never matched them up himself, either.
The biggest hangup on that front is that people heard the name "Laura" and immediately attached her to the location of "Brazil" because someone somewhere said "Laura is a really popular name in Brazil." Whether it is or not (I didn't know Laura was an unpopular name anywhere, myself. Certainly wouldn't think it was uniquely Brazilian or whatever) that bit of speculation has been attributed to Bogard more often than not ever since. From there people have just sorta repeated that as part of his leak.

TBF Bingo is only annoying if you use the american voices...which why would you do that????
Think the only american voices better than the japanese ones are Zangief and Juri.

True. And it seems most of the world recognizes Dictator as Bison at this point anyway. I don't really care in which direction they normalize it, but it's just such a dumb holdover from the early 90s when they actually thought changing the names would be adequate protection from a lawsuit that was never coming, never did, and never will.
Probably Blanka? I dunno. I don't personally know anyone, in the years and years of playing these games, who actually likes Vega.

At this point, I think I would be thrilled if they brought back the entire SF2 cast with updated looks and gameplay grafted from SFA, SF3, and SF4 characters.

Every SF Character gets this much whining. Everyone is a wasted slot except for that one character Poster #3451234 prefers.

Blanka maybe. Both are such easy characters to counter with the more popular characters - but perhaps they won't be anymore, which would be good news in my book.
Personally, I've known two people whose favorite character is Vega ;p
