Street Fighter V Beta Thread: Welcome, future '16ers! (Currently Inactive!)

Has anyone actually gotten into a match yet?

They can always make projections, and then they should rent more than what they think they need. You can buy cloud server space that's used as needed. There's no reason for them to not be ready.
That's not how it works, you can overload from too many simultaneous connections alone, it's not about space at all. That's how DDoS attacks are pretty much unavoidable. This is why you have staggered launches in the first place (which is practical for an actual release).

Now it just closes the application automatically after trying to log into game servers...not even an error code lol.

Huh? Different speed projectiles are normal depending on which button you press.

Not sure if someone already clarified, but we meant that suddenly the heavy projectile was the fastest and the light was the slowest. Everything just seemed to be reversed. The medium was also the speed of the heavy.

Can't say I wasn't expecting this, but this is the whole point of the beta so can't really complain. Hopefully it'll be up for a bit before the servers go down for maintenance. Otherwise, we won't be playing until tomorrow.

Can't they stagger the beta? :p

I'd be willing to take you up on that bet.

There is no way the majority of beta players are from PSN purchases.

I'm willing to bet 90% of people don't preorder with intent to scum out a beta code and then cancel their pre-order.

People pre-order the game because it advertises an incentive to pre-order. It's not a matter of platform.

Ah, the Beta Cycle.

The people complaining they can't get on and the people defending that its a beta.

Meanwhile, in the middle, this was the main marketing tool used to entice people to pre-order the game. So far, nada. So...the needle probably favors the people who would like to play since they went through the trouble of putting down money (not any people who scammed Amazon).

... It's a beta to avoid shit like this happening day one.

Some people in here sure as hell need to figure out what a beta is and that it is not "hey play the game early for free".

people expect a fully fledged, polished AAA experience out of early access indie games.

this should be no surprise.

Except you can cancel the preorder and get your money back.

Or the game could have launched like this and you would have wasted $60?

Amazon doesn't charge you until the game begins to ship. Don't think it can really be considered scamming unless people never cancel pre-orders.
